What is a CNC Set-Up/Operator?
The CNC Set-up/Operator is responsible for set-up, program (edit), operate and load either multi-axis CNC horizontal, vertical machining centers, turning centers, multi-station load stations or any other various equipment under the direction of a lead or supervisor found in the work cell that is necessary to produce parts to specification for Company production needs
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have one to three years related CNC machining experience. The CNC Set-Up/Operator will report to the 2
nd
shift Production Supervisor. The hours for this position are Monday- Thursday 3:30pm-1am and Friday 3:30pm-7:30pm. Training will be on 1st shift or a mid shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively set-up and operate equipment under the direction of a lead or supervisor in the CNC machining area for qualified areas.
Select required cutting tools, tool grades, and proper speeds and feeds from programming document.
Fill in details of blueprints and schematics from information provided.
Inspect all parts manufactured in the specific machining area and to perform quality related statistical analysis, (ex. SPC).
Perform routine preventative maintenance, such as daily or weekly oiling, greasing, checking coolant levels and concentrations, as required to maintain equipment in top operational order.
Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.
Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English. • One to three years related machining experience. • CNC certificate preferred. • Ability to read simple blueprints and technical specifications. • Ability to handle routine projects and tasks under close supervision. • Basic understanding of mathematics including geometry and trigonometry. • Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks.
Physical and Technical Environment
Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment or help from another employee. • Use various manual wrenches and tools with the intent to sufficiently clamp and unclamp parts in fixturing. • Must be able to be on feet all day. • Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms. • Exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold on a regular basis. Must respond to changing requirements and working conditions. • Must supply hand tools and toolboxes.

What You Will Do
All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As an Operations Assistant Store Manager, this means:
* Anticipating customer flow and work demand and redirecting efforts and schedules to ensure proper coverage when and where needed.

The Operations Assistant Store Manager is accountable for achieving sales and margin goals while driving operational efficiencies and maximizing overall customer satisfaction with the Lowe's in-store experience. At times, the Operations Assistant Store Manager is expected to provide full leadership over the store.
The Operations Assistant Store Manager collaborates with peers on the store leadership team as well as the District Manager and Area support staff to assess the needs of our customers and develop the best methods for achieving service, sales, and operational objectives. Role-specific assignments and priorities will be tailored to front-end and back-end operations. Furthermore, this individual may be asked to rotate through Merchandising and Specialty assignments for the purpose of cross-training and development.
Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.

What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
* 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
* 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
* 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, certification, or background in retail store freight flow logistics.
* 5 years of experience leading support/operations associates in a retail or consumer service industry.
* 3 years of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
* Experience working in the home improvement retail sector.
* Broad knowledge of interior/exterior product categories (e.g., flooring, cabinets, millwork, building materials, appliances, home décor, lighting, plumbing).
* Experience working with store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client, etc.).

WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?
Primarily responsible for the quality of the product being made by the machine they are assigned.
Maintain adequate levels of adhesive and paper to ensure a continuous production cycle.
Apply standardized inspection procedures to all envelopes produced.
Maintain speeds set by the adjuster and supervisor for each job setup.
Loads, unloads, and moves materials, tooling, and finished products within the plant
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Operates a hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Counts, weighs, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
Removes, empties, and returns all paper waste bins making certain to deposit in correct recycling containers.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS
Prior experience operating a machine specifically in a production/manufacturing facility.
Proven experience operating fast moving machines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Fill in details of blueprints and schematics from information provided.
* Inspect all parts manufactured in the specific machining area and to perform quality related statistical analysis, (ex. SPC).
* Perform routine preventative maintenance, such as daily or weekly oiling, greasing, checking coolant levels and concentrations, as required to maintain equipment in top operational order.
* Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.
* Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
* Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
* Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
