The CTTechnologist performs a variety of standard, and specialty Computed Tomography (CT) procedures to produce imaging studies using radiology technology to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Specifically, conducts radiology exams and documents clinically appropriate results for interpretive physicians and records.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the company's values in daily activities
Performs complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues
Positions patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
Screens patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance
Starts I.V.'s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol
Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and labels appropriately
Loads and operates power injectors for contrast media administration

Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in the Environment of Care

Advanced registry in MRI - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Experience working in an MRITechnologist position
Demonstrate an adequate knowledge of anatomy
CPR Certification is required

Physical Demands of the Position - Position requires standing and walking 80-90% of designated shift. Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting.
