Responsibilities:
Assist project teams in compiling and synthesizing information (e.g., conducting literature reviews and policy scans).
Prepare and assist with primary source data collection through interviews, focus groups, and surveys; organize materials; and contribute to content development.
Participate in the collection and review of research and evaluation data.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative research data and contribute to the reporting and interpretation of findings.
Prepare documents, portions of reports, briefs, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses.
Support proposal writing and business development activities.
Support project management tasks, including developing project timelines, coordinating meetings, and tracking project progress.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in the social sciences or related fields.
Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative data collection.
Experience using qualitative or quantitative data analysis software programs.
Experience using Python, R, or STATA or using Atlas.TI, NVivo, or Dedoose are a plus.
Skills
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data collection and report writing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has two 100% remote 10-week summer research internship positions opening up. The internships are an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by assisting in research projects, engaging in literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, reporting, and potentially contributing to conference presentations and/or publications.
The Intern Research Associate program at the AOA is for those currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in fields such as psychometrics, measurement, statistics, l/O psychology, or data science. This fully remote 10-week internship beginning June 2026 involves working closely with experienced psychometricians and assessment experts. Interns will gain hands-on experience with AOA data and research projects that support the organization's mission of advancing the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine. The Certifying Board Services (CBS) department serves 73 certification and certificate programs across 15 specialty certifying boards.
Interns will work and collaborate with the psychometric and assessment teams of the CBS department to support the AOA's research agenda. The role provides an opportunity to support operational and research initiatives and offers practical experience in certification testing. Research topics may include exam design and development, administration and supportive validity studies for our certification and osteopathic continuing certification exams.
Responsibilities
Interns will work closely with the psychometric and assessment teams to develop a research plan for the internship.
Over the 10 weeks, interns will attend weekly meetings with their supervisor to discuss progress and address questions, and with one or more research project teams to discuss ongoing work.
Activities may include conducting and writing literature reviews, data gathering/cleaning, programming in R or Python, item and exam analyses with CTT and IRT, performing statistical analyses such as DIF or regression analysis, writing reports, and delivering presentations.
At the conclusion of the internship, all files and equipment will be returned to the AOA.
Current topics of interest to the AOA's Certifying Board Services:
Application of AI in test assembly, content development, measurement and assessment fields
Detecting compromised exam content
Longitudinal assessment

The School of Pharmacy is looking for a ResearchAssistant to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. Salary: Starting at $45,000.00 annually, compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire's experience.
Location: This position is located onsite in Kingsville, TX.

Other Requirements and Factors
Compliance & Safety: Follow all institutional, biosafety, and animal care guidelines (e.g., IACUC, IBC, Lab specific). Participate in laboratory safety training and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Core lab maintenance: May have to work on the weekend and/or after normal hours.
Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.
Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Research: Intensively participates in data analysis and preliminary data collection through accurately following experimental protocols (e.g., cell culture, PCR, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, mice behavioral study). Compiles data files set from research teams. Collects, interprets, and analyzes data, compiles results, prepares reports, and presents their conclusions. Maintains mouse colony in the vivarium, performs surgery on the xenograft mice, conducts behavioral test on mice, generates preliminary data for the lung cancer project and Alzheimer's disease projects. Participates in poster and podium presentation of the collected results.
Administrative: Under the supervision of PI, organizes the professional collaboration between the pharmacy/graduate students and the lab team member. Helps train new lab members or undergraduate students and graduate students on techniques and safety protocols. Ships laboratory agents for analysis. Works collaboratively with undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and PIs. Attends and contributes to lab meetings and discussions.

Position Information
The ResearchAssistant performs skilled, administrative, and managerial support in research. Plans and directs certain phases in a research project.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of various research projects. Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data. Perform cultural practices for field and greenhouse experiments.
Performs grounds preparation, planting, cultivation, irrigation, etc.; calculate rates and apply agrochemicals including fertilizer and pesticides, adhering to applicable procedural and safety regulations; perform plant propagation practices; prepare and collect data from experiments; and manage weed suppression.
Performs preparation of growth media, seeding, transplanting, potting, watering, feeding, etc.; maintain pest control adhering to applicable procedural and safety regulations; prepare and collect data from experiments; and manage weed suppression.
Processes and analyzes data from experiments and write up results.
Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of farm, shop, and greenhouse equipment and work areas using good and safe work habits following all applicable regulations.
Oversees maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
Solves problems specific to the mechanics of small plot work.
Weekend work may include irrigating field and greenhouse plots and various jobs during planting and harvest seasons.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment. Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
Good command of the English language for assisting with writing reports.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Good organizational skills.
Other Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects and/or equipment repeatedly.
Ability to travel to farms in Texas.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Position Information
ResearchAssistant - (beef cattle herdsman) responsible for performing skilled, administrative, and managerial support in beef cattle research. Plans and directs certain phases in a research project.
Responsibilities:
General cattle duties in all facets of cow/calf operation to include calving, identifying and treatment of sick cattle, feeding, heat detection, hauling, weighing, which requires operating an Agency vehicle to perform duties.
Handle cattle in a low stress manner.
Pasture management
Heifer and bull development
Managing stocker cattle
Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of various research projects.
Keeps detailed cattle records for calving, breeding, weights, culling, etc.
Fence repair and construction
Keep cattle facilities clean and in good repair
Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data.
Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
Assists with purchasing, reports, invoices, and cataloging records.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
BS degree in relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Computer knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Experience in haying operations.
Must be able to operate tractors and equipment such as hay equipment, fertilizer buggy, trip feeder, planter, sprayer, pasture mower, etc.
Must be able to pen cattle.
Must be able to drive tractor and operate equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reproductive technologies (estrous synchronization, AI, ultrasonography and animal health is preferred).
Other Requirements:
Physical labor required.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects of at least 60 pounds.

Position Information
We are seeking a ResearchAssistant to support soil science and soil microbiology research activities requiring an advanced level of knowledge and laboratory experience in soil science and soil microbiology. Learning requirements are predominantly intellectual and varied in character and require consistent use of discretion and judgment.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of research activities which include fieldwork, greenhouse experiments, laboratory analysis, and data analysis using statistical reference. Learning requirements are predominantly intellectual and varied in character and require consistent use of discretion and judgment.
Conducts soil analysis for microbiome, DNA extraction, designs and runs qPCR assays and bioinformatic skills to analyze microbiome sequence data.
Assists with supervision of graduate students and other lab/field personnel in research.
Installs, operates and/or repairs research equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Soil Science or relevant field.
Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Soil Science or relevant field.
