Where Your Career is a Force for Good! We are seeking a part-time Driver for our Boston Food Pantry Program. The position is 16 hours per week working Tuesday - Thursday, 6:30 am to noon. No benefits. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): The Driver uses a 20-foot box truck to pick up, deliver and properly store products and other lightweight materials in accordance with an assigned route or on and as needed basis. Perform additional transport or loading duties to support the American Red Cross. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Specific duties: The Driver will pick up food at the pantry and deliver it to community distribution sites. Will assist with loading and unloading truck, using a pallet stacker and electric pallet jacks. Will also help with inventory and assist with other duties at the pantry and distribution sites. Will work closely with volunteers. Must be comfortable driving a 20-foot box truck. A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required. A CDL is not required but helpful. Travel: Travel 40%. The salary for this position is (Massachusetts): $20.00.
