Description Perform daily Department of Transportation pre- and post-trip truck inspection including checking all fluids such as oil and antifreeze Perform routine plant maintenance tasks, general cleaning, use small power tools and manual labor hand tools. Receive delivery ticket. Review for address and directions as well as any additional products needed for the job. Clarify any concerns with dispatcher Add various ingredients such as fiber, admixtures, and other products as directed on delivery ticket Check slumps and mix of concrete Place chutes from fender to main chute of truck Have delivery ticket signed and assure all information required is written down Responsible for collecting C.O.D. deliveries in full and return to the Company. Wash truck down after unloading into designated area, per contractor or plant location Communicate well with dispatchers throughout the delivery process Refuel truck as needed and every evening at the end of the shift Additional Expectations: Ability to safely and accurately maneuver trucks in uneven and poor terrain while backing or pulling into job site Able to work flexible hours and shifts and be reliable and punctual. The employee must also be willing and able to work long hours up to the maximum hours allowed of services permitted by DOT and state law, including but not limited to, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Physical Demands: Climb in and out of the truck approximately 50 times per day. Lift 80 pounds, including but not limited to lift chutes and other related CMV/job related items.
