Overview
Under general supervision this classification is responsible for facilitating direct and indirect crisis stabilization support and services for assigned caseloads within specified regions. Employees in this classification will collect data, conduct consultations, and set up intervention services, as well as provide training to clients.
Responsibilities
* Provides on-site and/or remote consultation and intervention services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as needed. Scope and type of consultation and intervention services is dependent on client needs.
* Conducts individualized assessments for assigned referrals. Gathers and reviews records and interviews informants.
* Collects client information and records to organize necessary internal program reports which will allow for developing individualized crisis stabilization plans for assigned caseloads.
* Coordinates external partnerships for assigned individuals. External partnership entities can encompass third party agencies and organizations.

Description:
The Special Education District of Lake County has an opening for a Vocational Facilitator for the 2025-2026 school year. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver's license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Must have access to a personal passenger vehicle to complete the driving duties of the position. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. What You'll Do
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Lead and assist with climbing instruction, games, and programming for birthday parties
Facilitate check-in, waivers, orientation, and rental distribution for participants
Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support BP's curriculum and values
Collaborate with Program Managers and team members to execute fun, safe, and structured youth programming
Provide clear and friendly communication with youth, parents/guardians, and coworkers.
Respond promptly and calmly to any injuries or incidents, following established safety protocols and documentation procedures.
Maintain group supervision, organisation, and control to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
Support facility upkeep and organisation of program-related equipment

18+ years of age
Passion for working with youth (typically ages 18 months to 12 years)
Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift at least 40 lbs
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Some climbing experience
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in youth education, recreation, coaching, or customer service
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

What You'll Do
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Lead and assist with climbing instruction, games, and programming for birthday parties
Facilitate check-in, waivers, orientation, and rental distribution for participants
Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support BP's curriculum and values
Collaborate with Program Managers and team members to execute fun, safe, and structured youth programming
Provide clear and friendly communication with youth, parents/guardians, and coworkers.
Respond promptly and calmly to any injuries or incidents, following established safety protocols and documentation procedures.
Maintain group supervision, organisation, and control to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
Support facility upkeep and organisation of program-related equipment
Assist with administrative tasks, such as ensuring documentation is complete, using calendar/POS tools, and providing feedback

Birthday Party Facilitators help bring Bouldering Project's mission to life by creating inclusive, engaging, and developmentally enriching experiences for youth participants. This role combines hands-on instruction, safety oversight, community interaction, and thoughtful programming execution to support BP's youth programming year-round. Prior experience in youth education, recreation, coaching, or customer service

Summary Provides support and leadership for consumers to participate in activities and receive services in community settings. Activities and services are defined by the consumer and his or her Person Centered Plan and Individualized Personal Plan. Maintain a professional relationship with consumers, family members and appropriate others. Represent HOPE in the community in a professional manner.8. Implement behavioral intervention plan when needed to assure consumer safety and promote learning.9. Coordinates consumer programming with Center's activities, services, and staff.10. Acts as a mandated abuse reporter.11. Perform other duties as assigned, to assure efficiency of program services.
