Description
The Ramp Service Employee (RSE) is responsible for processing baggage, boxes, and/or cargo between baggage/cargo areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft. The Manager - Operations Control serves as the primary management control oversight of gate planning, daily schedule integrity, and flight process activities, all while ensuring local station requirements are met and United's core4 principles are upheld. Operations Control Managers must be able to function interchangeably as planners overseeing the hub gating plan and as flight process overseers / problem solvers within a given area of responsibility (a pod of approximately 10-20 gates).

We do not require special schooling or a college degree for this job and you will be fully trained by United.
Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry! You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. Here you will learn United's safety and service standards. During training, you will be assigned your base in one of our seven hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Franciso, Washington Dulles, or one of our other flight attendant base locations (relocation funds not provided). * 21 years of age or older at time of application

* Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
* Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
* Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited due to the safety-sensitive nature of the Flight Attendant position.
* Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history. Your background must not prohibit travel to or from anywhere United flies. For example, Canada has a strict inadmissible classification for DWI/DUI charges including misdemeanors. If you have been on probation or convicted of a DWI/DUI within the last 10 years, the Canadian government will not allow you to travel to and from Canada unless you have already received a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) from the Canadian government which will allow you to continue your work duties for a temporary period of time.
* Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, meet hearing and vision requirements as established by the Federal Aviation Administration and United Airlines, including not having hearing loss on audiometry in better ear greater than 40 dB when losses at 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz are averaged; and, each eye must be 20/40 or better corrected for both far and near vision.

* Strategic and Relationship Management
* Serve as liaison between the Engine Shop and supporting departments across Planning, Engineering, and Engine Supplier Management
* Coordinate requests between Engine Supplier Management and Engine Shop
* Champion projects to drive cost reduction, address quality escapes, improve reliability, and resolve performance deficiencies
* Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and annual Aircraft and Propulsion Working Together Team with key suppliers, operators, and stakeholders
* Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the engine maintenance program, shop procedures, and emerging technical conditions specific to the engines
* Partner with Engine Supplier Management, Engineering, Planning, and QA/QC to evaluate and onboard new repair sources and develop supplier repair capabilities
* Collaborate with Engineering to determine optimal workscopes for each engine induction, balancing technical requirements with cost and schedule objectives
* Maintain awareness of fleet performance, repair trends, and cost drivers to inform strategic decision-making
* Operational & Program Management
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain long-range induction forecasts, balancing shop capacity, fleet demand, and material availability
* Drive the readiness of engines and materials for shop induction; proactively identify risks to schedule and mitigate constraints
* Support Finance in developing accurate cost forecasts, spend analyses, and variance tracking.
* Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to optimize shop flow, resource utilization, and turnaround time (TAT) performance.
* Establish and maintain quality control standards to reduce rework, improve process consistency, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal specifications.
* Identify and execute cost-reduction and waste-elimination initiatives that enhance material utilization, reduce turnaround time, and improve overall shop efficiency.
* Use data analytics to monitor KPIs, identify process bottlenecks, and implement lean/continuous improvement initiatives
* Champion the use of digital tools and process automation to improve visibility, decision-making, and workflow efficiency.
* Lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution, coordinating with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Production to deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and schedule performance.
* Contract and Supplier Support
* Partner with Procurement and Supplier Management to develop, negotiate, and manage engine and component repair contracts.
* Leadership
* Lead regular governance reviews with cross-functional stakeholders to track engine program KPIs, highlight risks, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives
* Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision-making
* Provide guidance and mentorship to cross-functional partners and junior team members
* Act as a subject matter expert in engine overhaul processes, shop procedures, and cost optimization strategies

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
* BS degree in an aviation, technical or engineering discipline required
* Minimum 5-years' experience in turbine engine maintenance, repair, or overhaul operations and/or supply chain management
* Direct experience working with OEMs such as Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney/IAE and/or GE Aviation
* In-depth understanding of engine overhaul processes, workscope management, and material flow
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

UPS is currently seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. He/She will maintain a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy duty on road tractors and trailers from a variety of manufacturers. Powered vehicle propulsion includes diesel, gasoline and alternative technology power plants (including compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid and electrical in some locations). Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical and engine control. Serves as an Traffic Manager Coordinator in an ATC-11 level terminal facility.
Ensures that traffic management instructions/restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. Assesses the facility's capacity and projects an acceptable level of traffic.
Issues appropriate traffic flow restrictions to adjacent facilities, to space, hold, and reroute aircraft to distribute the flow of traffic and equalize workload among positions. Follows agency policy when implementing traffic management initiatives.
Maintains awareness of the traffic flow, equipment status, airport/weather conditions, and traffic forecasts to ensure acceptable levels of traffic, mitigate delays, and avoid flights into undesirable atmospheric conditions. Maintains familiarization of all phases of facility operations and aeronautical/meteorological conditions.
Maintains currency on required positions of operation.
Works under the administrative supervision of the Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinator. Performance is evaluated upon the effectiveness with which assigned program objectives are achieved.
