Learn more online at ************************ DESCRIPTION The Field Applications Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the technical demands of target customers are met with ERP products and solutions, resulting in design wins and achievement of revenue targets. The FAE is the go-to technical resource for ERP's customers and the ERP Sales Team from pre-sale to post-sale. The FAE gathers Voice-of-Customer input and feeds technical product requirements into the ERP Product Management and Development teams, ensuring that the Product Roadmap will support future customer requirements and revenue growth for the company. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Closely work with the sales team to design in ERP products at major accounts & meet quarterly sales quota. Support customers during pre and post-sale stages and resolve customers' technical issues. Proactively meet and be in close contact with major customers' design engineers and become the go-to person for any technical questions or issues. Work with RMA team and settle issues with customers in a satisfactory manner. Work cross-functionally with various factory teams, including design engineering, to resolve field questions and issues, and provide feedback to management. Use various internal documents such as DVT reports from design engineering team. Create presentations and webinar materials and present them for the entire customer base. Author app notes, white papers and technical documents to facilitate ERP design wins. Willing and able to travel 25% - 50% to cover the customer base in a large geographical territory. QUALIFICATIONS Required: B.S., Electrical Engineering 5+ Years of Field Applications Engineering experience Proficiency in LED and LED Driver technology Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to interact and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and deliver meaningful analysis to senior management. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. Process and Project Management skills/experience. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, & Powerpoint. Desired: MSEE degree Existing strong relationships with U.S. Luminaire Manufacturers and individuals, including Product Managers and Product Development Engineers. LED Luminaire and/or LED Driver Design & Development experience. Skilled in the use of CRM tools such as Salesforce.com Experience directly managing a small team.
