Job Description:
In this role, you will be working with clients, prospects, and internal technical teams to position our products and services competitively with a focus on technical requirements, implementation and deployment planning to achieve solution value. Focus is on advancing our products and services in new and existing clients to achieve business goals. This includes documentation gaps and solving technical obstacles or inhibitors to delivering competitive value.
* Supporting the Sales team to meet sales objectives for Solventum Health Information System solutions in the United States and as assigned globally.
* Transitioning a lead into a fully developed opportunity, including creating detailed Statements of Work and other sales materials that become part of the contractual agreement with the end customer.
* Managing the presales and RFP processes including writing and compiling commercial responses and coordination of RFP activities and response documents. Engaging with the customer by creating and delivering product demonstrations, including product overviews and customer evaluations.
* Creating compelling commercial and technical documentation that illustrates the Solventum value proposition and competitive advantages, outlines the proposed solution and business benefits to the customer, the technical deployment and sustainment needs of the solution including the project implementation plan. Completing client reviews related to AI, Security, and project intake to support sales or client relationship needs.
* Identifying and communicating gaps in the product portfolio to the product development teams to satisfy local market requirements to include engaging with the product, implementation and engineering teams throughout the product life cycle to articulate customer requirements; delivering training on solutions and providing product knowledge support to internal and external stakeholders; supporting marketing in the development of customer case studies and technical white papers.
Onboarding Requirement: To improve the onboarding experience, you will have an opportunity to meet with your manager and other new employees as part of the Solventum new employee orientation. As a result, new employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on-site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Roles and Responsibilities:
* Perform engineering work with our Municipal Design Discipline Team on water and wastewater projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping stations for municipal clients.
* Work with teams on engineering designs, preparing reports, construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and equipment selection for various projects.
* Perform preliminary design activities such as studies, data analysis, and alternatives analyses.
* Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
* Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspections as part of engineering services during construction.
* Conduct field work, such as site investigations, as necessary for various projects.
* Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (Engineers, Designers).
* Coordinate project work with geotechnical, architectural, process, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical engineers and consultants.
Required Qualifications:
* BS Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical).
* Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.
* Strong interest in developing water and wastewater treatment design skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Strong understanding of fundamental technical topics, including:

* Works with the superintendent to prepare project schedule, including establishing dates for receiving shop drawings and milestones necessary to complete the project on time. Follows up for review and approval for shop drawings, samples, material lists, etc.
* Maintains logs, reflecting the status of shop drawings, requests for clarification, change requests, and proposal requests.
* Advises on proper procedures for concrete pours. Inspects structural reinforcing.
* Coordinates standard slump and compaction testing to verify compliance to specifications.
* Reviews field procedures and final installation of structural elements to ensure compliance of the work.
* Performs work sampling. Observes and analyzes work methods, techniques, and procedures to advise superintendent on improvement of production efficiency.

6. May assume a role in locating suppliers for various building materials; reviews invoices upon request to verify quantity, quality and prices for construction materials

Responds to requests for information (RFIs) from owners and subcontractors, preparing RFIs for the project architect and/or structural engineer of record when necessary to clarify technical issues concerning the project; ensures that information received in response to RFIs is routed to the applicable field superintendent and subcontractors
8. Assists in compiling close-out documents including as-built drawings, guarantees, warranties, service manuals and other related documents for delivery to the owner; may prepare Austin's warranty for inclusion in this package and assist in preparing other close-out documents as assigned
9. When not assigned to a project, the PE II generally is assigned to the Estimating Department, preparing detailed cost estimates; may assist with value engineering activities and the pricing of those alternate procedures; interacts with a wide variety of construction professionals, including owner representatives, architects, structural engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
10. Participates in jobsite safety as outlined in company's Safety & Health Manual
