Level 3:
Play a key role in software quality improvement for customer facing websites. Validate that all corresponding applications withing the program are in sync and behaves uniformly for consistency.
Prepare project/program level test plans for functional & non-functional testing needs and assist manager in estimating & scheduling the tasks.
Perform peer review of test cases & test execution results delivered by fellow team members.
Organize & maintain dashboard reports at project/program level.
Communicate status and overall health of the program to the leadership team and help in decision making.
Proactive involvement during all phases of the project and ability to provide suggestions on the design/architecture would be a bonus.
Knowledge regarding the latest trends in softwaretesting and the ability to improve continuously by doing any POC's when required.
Knowledge on test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TOSCA, cypress and ability to build the framework from scratch would be a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

At DISH, the Technology Assurance and Performance (TAP) team's mission is to deliver software that meets business needs and allows for a positive customer experience. As a member of the TAP Team, the SoftwareTestEngineer II is a key contributor to the overall wireless software delivery team in a fast-paced IT environment testing multiple applications. They will ensure software meets the business requirements by designing and executing test scenarios that exercise all required test conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze system requirements and design manual/automation test scripts for GUI, services, and database validation
* Develop and maintain automation scripts integrated into the CI/CD pipeline and for regression testing
* Execute test scripts, log and track bugs, and assist developers with debugging production incidents
* Perform data validation and contribute to process and procedure improvements
* Collaborate with a globally distributed team to ensure quality deliverables
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship on testing, automation, and frameworks
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience with 3+ years in related roles
* Strong automation and wireless testing experience with knowledge of testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, end-to-end, regression)
* Experience with database testing and working in Agile/SCRUM and CI/CD environments
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in one or more test automation frameworks and automation tools such as Selenium, Maven, and ReadyAPI
* Knowledge of programming languages and familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Practitest, ALM, Octane)
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality testing solutions across diverse platforms and technologies
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to leadership, customers, and business partners
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
* Energetic team player who contributes both individually and collaboratively
* Comfortable working primarily in an office environment, with occasional lifting/moving of equipment up to 20 lbs
* Committed to achieving results and supporting team and organizational goals
* Adaptable and able to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations if needed
