Role Description
The Senior Process Executive - Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing and optimizing the full lifecycle of hospital and professional claims across third-party payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. This role requires advanced knowledge of US healthcare billing, claims adjudication, and payer-specific requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for healthcare services.
• Manage accounts receivable processes for hospital and professional claims, ensuring compliance with US payer regulations.
• Analyze and resolve outstanding claims, including denials and underpayments, using payer-specific portals and resources.
• Investigate root causes of denials, apply appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes, and implement corrective actions to maximize reimbursement.
• Prepare and submit appeals to insurance companies and Medicare, including redetermination requests and supporting documentation.
• Perform online submission of claims and monitor claim status through portals.
• Review aged receivables, recommend write-offs for uncollectible accounts, and report findings to the Account Manager.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies, federal and state regulations (HIPAA, CMS guidelines), and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external payers to resolve complex claim issues and expedite payment.
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; preferred in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare revenue cycle management, with a focus on hospital and professional claims.
• In-depth understanding of UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms, ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS coding, and payer guidelines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with payers, providers, and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

Our Renewal Underwriting Executive within Sentry's Business Products - National Accounts unit will lead the underwriting strategy, customer service, and renewal negotiations for an existing book of business while developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with our territory executives, brokers and clients to obtain information needed to properly underwrite, price, and determine program structure of individual policies/accounts.
In addition, you'll:
* At both Sentry Home Office and broker/insured location, present issues and opportunities that affect efficient services, profit and growth opportunities, and the promotion of specific insurance products.
* Through use of manuals, established procedures, and information collected, work on basic to complex underwriting assignments. Refer business outside of authority limit.
* Coordinate services between the National Accounts customer, broker, claims, loss control and customer accounting.
* Work within specific underwriting limits and authority on National Accounts assignments that require technical knowledge and experience.
* Handle renewal order and initiate renewal processing and billing. Follow up on security and agreement issues.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the insurance marketplace and emerging industry issues.
* Be directly involved in solving credit problems with assigned accounts and brokers.
* Handle day-to-day service issues including retro adjustment and audit questions.
* Be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive Stewardship Reports that will include benchmark targets and results.
* Encourage the sharing of insurance expertise and foster stronger relationships with customers.
* Coordinate communication to National Accounts customers on new or enhanced services.
* Monitor loss control plans and other service plans to ensure that the customer is receiving the services that have been promised. Encourage use of all of Sentry's Risk Management programs by demonstrating cost savings to National Account customers.
* Maintain privacy and confidentiality requirements as required by legislation.
* Participate in National Accounts sales meetings.
* As needed, train other underwriters, facilitate presentations and conduct training on underwriting procedures. Basic reinsurance assignments may be performed.
What it Takes
* Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
* 2 years Business Products underwriting experience required. National Accounts underwriting experience preferred.
* Completion of IIA, CEBS, CPCU and LOMA insurance courses/designations preferred.
* Demonstrated communication skills required to provide excellent external and internal customer service.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a property and casualty license.
* Ability to have and maintain an acceptable driving record to meet travel requirements of the job (25% - 30% travel requirement).

Demonstrated top performer with a track record of meeting and exceeding annual ARR quotas of $1M + with average deal sizes of $250K+

The following represents AgentSync's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role.

The AccountExecutive (AE), National Property will partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. As an AE, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. **What Will You Do?**
+ Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
+ Underwrite and skillfully negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability. Additionally, occasionally negotiate and procure reinsurance to underwrite complex accounts.
+ May facilitate the placement of foreign admitted policies, serve as a resource to field AccountExecutives on global underwriting capabilities, as well as assist in the business development activities for such global underwriting services.
+ Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the enterprise to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.

+ Bachelor's degree.
