Job DescriptionParadigm in searching for a Mechanical Assembler to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by prepping and finishing product builds for the Mechanical department before quality control reviews or tests. Type: 6-month contract to hire Location: On-site, Hillsboro, OR Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick leave As a Mechanical Assembler, you will: Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule for the department via immediate supervisor/team lead and inform immediate supervisor/team lead if schedule will not be met Prepare the customer fixtures for press fit Finish the buildup of circuit boards from touch up according to specifications Ensure proper labeling of circuit boards before sending quality control or testing Inform supervisor or lead of any issues found on incoming boards to get directions on how to solve or how to fix the problem Audit kits from Prep/Insert to ensure the kit includes the right customer approved components and count is correct Ensure production area is clean and maintained Redline and communicate any documentation discrepancies to immediate supervisor Communicate any quality issues to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) minutes of finding Keep safety stock of all production consumables and order supplies as needed through immediate supervisor RequirementsOur skills and experience wish list includes: High school diploma or GED Two years' established work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or computer component environment Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members and stakeholders Strong attention to detail and communication skills Must be able to read and comprehend assembly and build instructions and other written material Must be able to learn and work with LEAN working methods and processes Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Ability to learn and follow ISO 9000 process Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred BenefitsParadigm offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick days.
