How You'll Make an Impact:
Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components with precision, ensuring every build meets exact specifications and supports operational excellence
Perform hydraulic and electrical checks to confirm equipment is functioning safely and reliably before it returns to service
Lead re-manufacturing tasks-from disassembly and inspection to minor repairs and reassembly-restoring equipment to peak condition
Follow process and specification sheets with accuracy and consistency, setting the standard for quality and compliance
Complete labor reporting and recordkeeping with attention to detail, ensuring transparency and accountability
Use TPM tools to drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and customer service while reducing operational costs
Communicate proactively about maintenance needs, quality concerns, or anything that could impact safety or productivity-ensuring issues are addressed before they escalate
Keep leadership informed on daily activities and operational challenges, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement
Support the development of others by assisting in training teammates and sharing knowledge

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:
The pay rate for this role is $19.50 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble simple units such as power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, PC boards, electronic systems and subassemblies. Solders and de-solders through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components. + Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, selects components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits.
+ Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters and other related test instrumentation. Knowledge of cleaning, lead preparation, component mounting, parts orientation.
+ Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
+ Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
+ Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
+ Uses hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc. Inspect parts and performs basic tests.
+ May perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
+ Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

**Job Description**
Primary duties of a cross functional team member is to support the manufacturing of vacuum envelope mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Candidate is primarily responsible for inspecting all levels of assemblies. Position requires a familiarity in schematic interpretation and the use of common measuring equipment which includes; optical comparator, drop gage, calipers, microscope and measuring scope. Secondary responsibilities include building the assemblies which require the use of small hand tools, microscopes and other measuring equipment. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality, and maintaining production flow to meet weekly schedule requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, the candidate should have or be familiar with the following skills:
+ A self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
+ Experience with small parts, small hand tools, and microscopes
+ Prior blue print and procedures reading experience
+ Attentiveness to details with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from management and engineering staff.
+ Ability to pick up 5 to 20 lbs.
Additional skills include:
+ Tig welding and brazing experience
+ Clean room experience and knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control) -Ability or prior experience of reading Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
