Job Purpose:
The production/completion of final and sub-assemblies for internal/external customers on a timely basis maximizing quality and efficiency.
JOB RESULTS AREA

Essential Duties:
* Assemble and pack both sub-assemblies and completed assemblies

* Monitor daily quality of assemblies and communicate any discrepancies.
* Participate in problem-solving to continually improve the quality of assemblies and processes.
* Utilize Manufacturing ERP and other manufacturing operating systems to report information on quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret work orders, process plans, drawings, and diagrams required in the assembly of cash drawers and related products.

What a Circuit Board Assembler will do:
Utilize a microscope to assemble circuit boards
Perform wire soldering and stripping
Conduct regular quality checks
What you need to be a Circuit Board Assembler:
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
5-6 months of experience or work history required
Ability to meet ITAR requirements
Willingness to participate in a CBD and drug test #Metrojobs

Perform assembly operations outlined in job book
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Notify Manager/Lead when MOS need to be created for equipment maintenance
Keep records of production quantities scrap and meet expected rates
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Work with others on a line or group in order to assemble products
Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
Place correct labels on regrind containers
Visually inspect all parts prior to packaging
Perform sanding, masking, inserting, milling and drilling procedures on parts
Operate automatic robotics, assists on paint line and assembly line
Build boxes/containers, packages, and label parts for shipment to customer
High school diploma/GED
Basic math skills
Understand measurements
Basic English reading ability and comprehension to understand instructions in job books
Basic computer skills
Must be good at following directions and have a strong attention to detail
Able to lift 55 lbs. up to shoulder height on an on-going basis
Able to lift 55 lbs. above head occasionally
Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously
Good hand and wrist dexterity
Visually inspect all parts
Stand and walk up to 8 hours
Able to work with small pieces that are 1/8 inch
Good hand eye coordination
