Load left and right magazines with metal lamination, position coil, activate machine to automatically feed alternate laminations to maximum fullness. Complete laminating process by hand, using (2) 1/8" iron or greater and stacks 3" or greater. * Use hoists, low lift hand truck and carts to position or move transformers to assigned locations, use pneumatic tools, ratchets, wrenches and applicable equipment and hand tools. * Install various insulating materials, fasten, mount, tighten, square, gauge brackets and specified hardware to meet dimensional and functional requirements and conformance. * Perform other related duties in accordance with production workload requirements as assigned. * Detect faulty operations or equipment, discrepancies in material, specifications or other unusual conditions and report to proper Supervisor. Record applicable job information as assigned. * Maintain work area in neat and orderly condition. Make out time and production reports. * Observe all prescribed safety regulations. * Train new hires and cross-train existing personnel as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: Ability to use specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and basic arithmetic. * Experience: 9-12 months of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. * Initiative & Ingenuity: Ability to independently perform assembly tasks, including transformer lamination and installation of brackets and insulating materials, with judgment to follow standard procedures. * Physical Demand: Moderate physical effort, including frequent lifting and moving of materials. * Mental/Visual Demand: Continuous attention required for tasks. * Responsibility for Equipment: Careful performance needed to avoid minor damage to tools and equipment. * Responsibility for Materials: Careful work required to minimize scrap or rework losses. * Safety Responsibility: Responsible for ensuring safety to prevent minor injuries. * Work Environment: Good working conditions with minimal exposure to shop elements.
