Job Summary: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our LMI Assembly team. This role will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging products on an assembly line or independently in a manufacturing facility. A LMI Pumps Assembler works with a team to ensure the efficient and accurate assembly of products while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is consistent, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects. Responsibilities: * Assemble components and parts following detailed instructions * Read and understand the bill of materials and work order instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings * Complete assembly tasks, use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses (may use cranes and hoists); Responsibilities may also include specialized work such as tube bending and soldering * Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Stay updated on changes in assembly processes and product specifications. * Test and troubleshoot assemblies * Monitor and request materials and components as needed for assembly * Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Requirements: * High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED), required * 1+ years of experience with assembly or other fast paced operations Key Competencies: * Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written * Ability to problem solve * Ability to perform varied and complex tasks * Lift a maximum of 35 lbs for an individual and 70 lbs for a team lift Preferences: * Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses * General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook) * Ability to read and understand the bill of materials and work instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This position will be based at our site in Ivyland, PA no travel. Role Summary: Join our team as an experienced Sub-Assembler, specializing in the precision mechanical sub-assemblies that form the backbone of Beck's ultra-reliable electric actuators. In this role, you'll work independently from CAD drawings, blueprints, and written instructions to perform detailed mechanical assembly, precision fitting, alignment, and fastening of components. While primarily mechanical, you'll also handle occasional electro-mechanical tasks such as basic wire processing and light soldering. Your expertise will ensure exacting quality standards, support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and help train and guide fellow assemblers-delivering robust assemblies that keep Beck actuators performing flawlessly in the world's most demanding industrial environments. Primary Responsibilities: Complete complex mechanical sub-assembly work including precision fitting, alignment, and fastening of components utilizing written instructions and CAD drawings. Assist with instructing and developing employees on sub-assembly operations. Participate in workplace organization projects and the integration of Lean concepts. Perform other general shop duties or assist other departments as business demands require. Requirements: Professional and Personal Requirements: 10 years of related mechanical assembly experience in precision manufacturing environments. 2 or more years of successful performance with Beck sub-assembly work. Proficient with hand tools and torque wrenches. Working understanding of soldering electrical/ electronic components and basic electronic equipment such as multi-meters and hypot testers preferred. Must be able to work independently from blueprints, sketches, oral, or written instructions without supervision or technical guidance. Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have proven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire and ability to work effectively as a member of various work teams. Possess a working knowledge and the ability to apply the concepts of Lean Manufacturing to achieve continuous production improvements. Must be able to speak, write, and read English and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, method sheets, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Work overtime as needed when business demands require. Must possess basic computer skills. Education Requirements: · High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required. Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to perform repetitious tasks. Must possess good manual dexterity. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
