As an Assembler placed with Kelly Services, you will be responsible for supporting the Extrusion department by supplying clean tooling to the extrusion lines and partaking in the disassembly and reassembly of extruders.
This position starts between 14.50/hour the hours are 3PM-11:30PM.
Additional Job Responsibilities Include:
Follow all Process Instructions, Specification Boards, SOP's, DOP's, Medtronic's Quality Policy and other related documents
Identify/communicate equipment/setup issues and provide status updates to Engineers/Supervisor/Peers
Prepare resins per Mix Resin procedure
Calibrate transducers and start purging the extruder
Maintain 5s and utilize all lean tools
Machine breakdowns and set ups
Tooling set-up
Select correct filters for runs
Inspect damaged pin and dies
Remove damaged tooling from inventory
Assemble bullets and hypo-tubes to make extruder pins
Keep pin and die cart current with the availability board
Inventory control of tools and equipment
Clean and polish tooling, screws and extruder parts
Inspect extruder parts for wear
Assure the equipment is being handled properly at all times
Understand and follow Medtronic's department procedures and quality policies
Maintain an expected level of attendance, Medtronic Traits, and teamwork
Job Requirements:

We are looking for a Final Assembly Technician II, to join of our manufacturing team, responsible for the assembly and disassembly of large, completed machines. This is not a bench assembly position. You'll be working with large motors and valves on machines that can produce 10,000 lbs. of cooked meat an hour and may require 3-6 trucks to ship.
This is a dynamic work center where priorities can change at a moment's notice, so flexibility is a must. You will also interact with a variety of people, including customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Completing the final assembly of machines for customer demonstrations.
Partially disassembling machinery for loading onto trucks and shipping containers.
Assisting the manufacturing team as needed.
Using computer skills for work order management, timekeeping, and reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience with stainless steel and strong mechanical aptitude are essential
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Willingness to be flexible and shift priorities based on production needs
Basic computer skills for work order and timekeeping systems
A driver's license is a plus

A Day in the Life
Start your shift by checking calibrated equipment and verifying incoming materials. You'll rotate across stations to assemble parts and complete kits, dispense dry and wet products, apply labels, seal bags, cap and torque bottles, and document every step to GMP/Quality Systems standards. You will also keep your area stocked, communicate issues to the Lead, and help maintain 5S and safety in the work area.
