Job Title: Manufacturing Technician/Assembler (Cleanroom / Equipment Assembly)
Duration: 12 to 24 Months, with possible extension
Pay Range: $21 - 25/hr.
Schedules:
Front End Days (Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday 5am-5:30 pm)
Back End Days (Thursday-Saturday every other Wednesday 5am-5:30pm)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to assemble and install parts and hardware on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a fast-paced, Lean-manufacturing cleanroom environment. This role involves following computer-based work instructions, using hand tools and fixtures, and working collaboratively to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble WFE using hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and other equipment.
Read, interpret, and navigate work instructions, schematics, and Cell Fusion procedures.
Work effectively in team settings to maintain workflow and meet production timelines.
Provide flexibility for changing priorities such as rework and pilot builds.
Verify correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of all components prior to installation.
Assist with audits by visually inspecting components and verifying checklists.
Complete assigned tasks by confirming work accuracy, verifying Cell Fusion completion, and providing written descriptions of work performed.
Maintain consistent alignment with company core values.
Safety Responsibilities
Complete all required safety training and follow all safe-work practices.
Lift up to 35 lbs safely and utilize ergonomic tools and pads when needed.
Follow all cleanroom protocols and use appropriate PPE.
Adhere to Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO & ZEST).
Use hoists, lift tracks, gantry cranes, and other lifting tools as required.
Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and report or escalate safety hazards promptly.
Respond quickly to unsafe practices and escalate unresolved safety concerns to appropriate leadership.
Communication Expectations
Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Provide timely updates to supervisors and team members via email, phone, or in person.
Participate actively in meetings and training sessions.
Identify and report production issues promptly.
Suggest process improvements to relevant teams.
Communicate system status effectively during shift pass-downs.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work 12+ hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Lift and install parts up to 35 lbs.
Kneel, crouch, squat, and reach into machines frequently.

Push/pull assembly dollies requiring approximately 40 lbs of force.
Navigate diagnostic software and distinguish wire colors.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Flexibility for changing priorities, overtime, and rework assignments.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Electronics Assembler Responsibilities:
Using soldering irons and heat guns for PCB soldering, desoldering, and rework of both surface mount & thru hole components.
Soldering under a microscope.
Using solder paste & reflow oven.
Using screws, nuts, etc. to attach mechanical components like heatsinks onto circuit boards; work must be done in a clean, static-safe environment. Loctite will be applied to certain screws.
Assembling wiring harnesses, cutting wires, crimping ring terminals or ferrules, soldering connector pins to solder cups, applying heat-shrink, and tug-testing of a variety of cables and wire harnesses.
Applying thermal paste to bolted assembly interfaces.

Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications. Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists. Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to fit components together and align them properly. May assist in instructing and training lower-level assemblers. Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
Locate and mark reference points and holes for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
Inspects and tests installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipment.
Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
Complete all required training and any additional training required by supervisor.
Complete quality documentation
Perform preventative maintenance on assembly presses and tooling
Verify part and hardware count to shop router

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Travel for
installation and service (in the US and abroad) as required to service
customers.
Service and
support for local customer base, as well.
Plans assembly
procedures, following blueprints and schematic drawings and specifications.
Assembles
equipment with bolts, welds, or other fastening devices to foundation or other
structures.
Installs moving
parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test proper
movement.
Bends and installs
pipe for hydraulic systems.
Aligns and meshes
gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears using alignment & measurement
tools to insure proper assembly tolerances.
Performs welding
and fabrication of pipe, structural, and tube construction.
Tests or assists
in testing operation of completed product.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES
This
job may occasionally require supervisory responsibility of Assembly Tech I or
Assembly Tech II positions if required to complete a job.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Trade
school program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra, trigonometry. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, engineering equations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
