* Work form packing procedures, instructions, or at the direction of supervisor to properly prepare and pack materials for shipment. Use hoist mechanisms and/or a forklift for heavier items. Properly sling and/or choke items so as to safely lift without damage to components or cause injury to self or others.
* Make up boxes, crates, skids or cartons using tape machines, staple gun, saw, power nailer and drill in accordance with customer specification. Ensure that boxes, crates, etc. are properly lined for export shipment when required. Determine necessity and use proper fill materials (i.e. foam, shredded paper, rolled cardboard, bubble-pak, etc.
* Secure shipping containers using the necessary material such as staple gun, tape, protective strips, twist pliers, and steel banding machines.
* Complete all required documentation, attach packing list to enclosure, transfer all necessary information to exterior of package and forward completed packages to loading dock area for shipment. Weigh packages, properly fill in all necessary information on travelers, and turn in completed document package to shipping office.
* Maintain work area as well as machines, tools, and equipment to meet program requirements.
* Use cranes, dollies and carts to obtain and return material to and from storage area and move completed job to next operation.
* Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
