Assist in conducting in-process testing, such as bench and leak testing. Works from blueprints, assembly drawings, routing sheets, mil specs, verbal instructions, written process descriptions and visual work instructions. Attain security clearance and maintain certifications as required by programs or process such as ESD, explosive handling, and general soldering (IPC J-STD-001). Basic knowledge of computers and associated software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications as required. Capabilities shall include documenting and recording the results of completed testing and the rework of products. Assess the level of rework and assist in determining the cause of component, subassembly, or system failures. Take appropriate action to rework components and ensure proper operation of equipment. Make recommendations to engineering department regarding modification of assembly processes. Support company initiatives including ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensuring continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and products. Assist in guiding, directing, and training employees in various assembly operations as needed or directed. Remain flexible and willing to work in various work cells depending on company need. Report unusual circumstances or conditions to supervisor as required. Details: Requirements: Education: High School or Equivalent Experience: 6 months - 1 year of mechanical assembly experience required.
