Responsibilities : * Perform a variety of tasks to support the assembly and test of industrial machinery and compression equipment within the plant, in accordance with predetermined standard work. * Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints. * Detect quality defects and unsafe conditions. * Be knowledgeable, and follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. * Interpretation of drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, identify materials for construction, and assemble components. * Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties. * Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for repaired as needed. * Loading and unloading of equipment utilizing fork trucks, and hoists. * Work in a team environment, and assist co-workers in other areas as needed/directed, suggesting process improvement ideas. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Material handling activities may include managing inventory levels by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, shipping and receipt of supplies. * Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. * Perform general housekeeping of the work area. * Tasks can include but are not limited to welding, painting, operating machines and presses, assembly and disassembly of parts, wiring, shipping preparation, and performing quality checks and tests. * All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.
