The Assembler will be primarily responsible for assembling military grade cable products. The Assembler handles a variety of products composed of small, light to medium weight components. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble small components. The Assembler will be tasked with following established procedures in assembly operations and will work under close supervision using simple assembly and wiring instructions. Specialized training will be provided for this position. The position will report to the Production Manager. Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. * Examine parts for defects, perform repairs and rework, and calibrate assemblies to meet operational tolerances. * Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. * Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements. * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
