The Assembler is responsible for assembling machinery mounting isolators and systems, consisting of elastomers, castings, steel plates, fabrications, and fasteners-either partially or completely-working at a bench or on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Read sales order pick lists and pull required parts to fill orders.
Assemble isolator component parts according to established work instructions.
Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, adhesives, or other fasteners.
Interpret work orders, manuals, performance specifications, blueprints, and schematics to determine assembly methods.
Operate electric and air-powered hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills, saws) to assist in assembly.
Use measuring equipment such as rulers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of drill press, mill, and lathe operations.
Drill and tap plates and housings up to 1.5 inches.
Ream, tap, grind, and/or file noncritical parts for proper fit of components.
Assemble leveling screws and housings to verify fit.
Perform precision cutting of rubber and jute material.
Clean and paint component parts and final assemblies.
Package finished products in boxes or on skids using steel banding equipment, tape machines, and labels.
Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment, including sweeping, painting, mopping, vacuuming, lawn care, and snow removal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience in a related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and work instructions.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Basic machining knowledge preferred.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as required.

The Kit Assembly Associate - Day-to-Day:
You will need to understand and interpret instructions on production orders which describe the components including chemicals, supplies, and apparatus needed to assemble subcomponents or kits.
You will conduct quality and quantity control checks to ensure complete and total accuracy of multiple components including chemicals being packaged. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process for correctness.
Use machinery for assembly of some items (i.e. wire machine, dialysis tubing counter, paper cutter, etc). Safely and efficiently use necessary equipment, to accommodate the work and return to appropriate storage locations once job completed.
Stack finished products onto skids either individually or boxed. Move products throughout warehouse through the use of pallet jacks, cart, or hand truck.
Properly record information such as production process time and date packaged on work order via computer tracking system.
You will use computer and/or scanning gun to create labels for finished products. Mark items with the appropriate Flinn Item # when necessary.
