Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler within our pharmacy maintenance department specializes in assembling, installing, and maintaining the mechanical systems that are critical to our mail-order operations. This role focuses on the precise fabrication and repair of conveyor systems, automated packaging machinery, and other industrial equipment that ensures the accurate and timely processing and shipping of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components of conveyor systems, packaging machines, labeling equipment, and other automation used in the pharmacy fulfillment process.
Read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and layout plans to perform precise assembly and modifications to existing equipment.
Use hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders) to fit, align, and adjust parts, ensuring proper function and minimal vibration.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including the disassembly and reassembly of machinery for cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Electro-Mechanical teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that cause production stoppages.
Conduct basic operational tests on assembled or repaired equipment to verify performance before returning it to the production floor.
Fabricate simple replacement parts or brackets as needed using available materials and tools.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on assembly and maintenance tasks, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and compliance regulations specific to a pharmaceutical maintenance environment.
Keep the maintenance workshop and assembly areas clean, organized, and safe, properly storing all tools and components.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
A technical certificate or apprenticeship in mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
2+ years of experience in a mechanical assembly role, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or packaging environment.
Basic English with the ability to read and write.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of mechanical concepts (gears, bearings, drives, pneumatics) and the ability to work with complex machinery.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
Skilled and safe use of a wide array of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).

Confirm the accuracy of information in the documented sleeve in describing the parts in the overhaul bin.
Understand any customer supplied information that may describe issues experienced with the fuel system, specific delivery requirements, and any other relevant requirements.
Establish that the latest overhaul information for the system in question is readily available and thoroughly understood before Assembly and Test work begins.
Ensure that the assembly and test of the fuel system is in compliance with all equipment manufacturer's overhaul manual and Airflow's Quality Manual requirements.
Performing all duties in a manner that avoids unnecessary exposure to machinery, cleaning agents etc. Fulfilling this responsibility can only be achieved by:

As an Assembler, you will perform moderately complex manufacturing, assembly, machine set-up and operation, and inspection operations according to detailed verbal and written instructions as described by standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions of a medical device. Our client's dynamic environment is the perfect place to take your career to the next level.
You will be working 1st shift mainly. There is a possibility some of these resources will go to second shift in a few months. This opportunity paying $11.50/hour
Responsibilities
Accurately record and complete relevant documentation records.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
May train other associates on those operations once demonstrated proficiency is acquired. Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork.
Work varying shifts and overtime if required by business conditions.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
Comply with all government regulations and company policies.
Perform manufacturing operations that include set-up, adjustment, and cleaning of machines and tooling for polishing, welding, soldering, mechanical assembly, and packaging
Perform inspection of work using microscopes, simple hand tools and gages as well as complicated measuring equipment
Complete legibly and accurately documentation such as production travelers, notebooks, and training records
Basic maintenance of equipment and tool
Job Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED Vocational training with machine operations helpful
2-5 years of GMP experience with either medical device or pharmaceutical is beneficial 2-5 years of manufacturing experience with similar processes and machines
Able to lift weights up to 25 lbs occasionally Able to work with hazardous materials
Familiarity with machining processes. Basic instrumentation and electrical knowledge
Skills Needed:
Visual skills to operate microscope for inspecting work.
Excellent eye hand coordination and dexterity to perform intricate assemble work.
Read and comprehend engineering drawings.

Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler within our pharmacy maintenance department specializes in assembling, installing, and maintaining the mechanical systems that are critical to our mail-order operations. Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components of conveyor systems, packaging machines, labeling equipment, and other automation used in the pharmacy fulfillment process.
Read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and layout plans to perform precise assembly and modifications to existing equipment.
Use hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders) to fit, align, and adjust parts, ensuring proper function and minimal vibration.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including the disassembly and reassembly of machinery for cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Electro-Mechanical teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that cause production stoppages.
Conduct basic operational tests on assembled or repaired equipment to verify performance before returning it to the production floor.

Qualifications
