Role Summary: The Engineering Technician will be working on medical device development and integration as part of a tight knit team. This role is multi-disciplinary with responsibility for assembling mechanical, electro-mechanical, and optical subassemblies and integrating them into the final flag-ship product. In addition, the candidate should be able to assemble, install and troubleshoot wiring components, having a strong understanding of electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities : Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines Interpret standard work instructions, technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to build and troubleshoot multiple assemblies Perform precision assembly tasks using a variety of methods, including hardware such as screws, bolts, and fasteners, as well as adhesives, to ensure accurate and secure assembly of components Perform the installation, routing, and termination of electrical wiring systems according to design specifications and industry standards Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to cut, strip, crimp, and connect wires and cables Conduct quality control inspections at various stages of the production process to ensure product integrity and adherence to standards Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently Work with computers and software to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated test equipment and diagnostic systems Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery in optimal condition Collaborate with engineers, other team members and supervisors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to product assembly and wiring configurations Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical certification or vocational training preferred 3+ years of manufacturing experience, medical device, electro-mechanical, or optical experience Ability to read, interpret and follow industry standards and internal work instructions, specifications, and engineering drawings Experience with computer systems and software applications used to control, run, and diagnose engineering test equipment.
