Assemblers will be expected to perform numerous assembly and fabrication duties involving advanced composites such as Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, and complex adhesive systems. Because of the nature of spacecraft, and military hardware, all technicians must exhibit a high degree of discipline and work ethic.
Assembly Technicians must have expansive experience with Aerospace composite assembly and fabrication and must be willing and able to perform a wide range of fabrication duties with a high degree of craftsmanship. Senior technicians are also expected to be innovative, versatile, and provide both leadership and training to junior technicians.
Responsibilities:
* Assemble aircraft components and subassemblies according to manufacturing plans, drawings, specifications, and instructions
* Attach mechanical fasteners and other hardware onto components or subassemblies using rivets, screws, adhesives, or other fasteners
* Prepare surfaces for bonding by light sanding
* Perform masking operations on composite and metallic components, and subassemblies, for priming operations
* Perform edge and core filling operations as required for final assemblies
* Identify parts (part marking) as required by customer specifications
* Ensure that the materials used in fabrication meet the required specification and shelf-life requirements
* Clean fabricated parts when required, as required, during fabrication operations

Assemblers will be expected to perform numerous assembly and fabrication duties involving advanced composites such as Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, and complex adhesive systems. Because of the nature of spacecraft, and military hardware, all technicians must exhibit a high degree of discipline and work ethic.
Assembly Technicians must have expansive experience with Aerospace composite assembly and fabrication and must be willing and able to perform a wide range of fabrication duties with a high degree of craftsmanship. Senior technicians are also expected to be innovative, versatile, and provide both leadership and training to junior technicians.
Responsibilities:
Assemble aircraft components and subassemblies according to manufacturing plans, drawings, specifications, and instructions
Attach mechanical fasteners and other hardware onto components or subassemblies using rivets, screws, adhesives, or other fasteners
Prepare surfaces for bonding by light sanding
Perform masking operations on composite and metallic components, and subassemblies, for priming operations
Perform edge and core filling operations as required for final assemblies
Identify parts (part marking) as required by customer specifications
Ensure that the materials used in fabrication meet the required specification and shelf-life requirements
Clean fabricated parts when required, as required, during fabrication operations
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and contribute immediately upon hire
Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15? (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee)
Composite experience gained within an aviation manufacturing or aerospace company
High volume manufacturing experience is a plus
Must have a high level of technical skills to perform job duties
Must be able to read blueprints and manufacturing instructions
Must have operational knowledge of basic measurement tools: scales & calipers
