The Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services is one of three academic departments in the College of Education (COE). It is comprised of four major programs: Counseling Psychology (CPSY), Couples and Family Therapy (CFT), Prevention Science (PREV), and Family and Human Services (FHS). The Department offers degrees from undergraduate to masters and doctoral. The Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department is involved in collaborative efforts among all COE departments and institutes to support research across the College, outreach activities, and core requirements for the masters and doctoral programs.
Position Summary
The University of Oregon's Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic instructional and supervision vacancies. Positions are limited duration appointments, potentially renewable for up to a total of three years.
Clinical supervisors will provide clinical instruction and/or supervision in a clinical setting to students in the Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) or Counseling Psychology (CPSY) programs. Clinical Assistant Professors/supervisors focus their training and instruction on the practical application of skills necessary to engage in a given profession. They are expected to demonstrate and share the expertise of their practice for the program.
Instructors teach primarily undergraduate-level courses, and lecturers teach primarily graduate-level courses in the Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department. Instructional duties include course preparation, teaching, preparation and evaluation of student assignments and exams, maintenance of office hours, and may oversee student graders or graduate employee assigned to the course.
Topic areas for instruction and supervision may include: ethical and legal guidelines for therapy, relational therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, therapy with minors, adult practicum, suicide screening, assessment, and intervention, interpersonal violence screening and intervention, safety plans, documentation skills, assessment and treatment planning, gender-affirming counseling, and family and human services.

Minimum Requirements

Teach courses that train students in hands-on automotive repair, diagnostics,
and shop safety- the same skills and standards used in today's professional

Associate degree in Automotive and/or Diesel repair or a closely related field,

The initial focus of teaching responsibilities will be in BI 112, Cell Biology for Health Occupations, which is the prerequisite to the 3-course Human Anatomy and Physiology series (BI 231, 232, and 233).

Position Purpose:
The Massage Therapy instructor position is essential in training and forming highly qualified and professional massage therapists by sharing their experience, expertise, industry knowledge, and passion for the job. They will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction, designing engaging lesson plans, and providing guidance and support for students to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to fully succeed in the field of massage therapy in accordance with Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists' standards in preparation for licensing. Release time is provided to the instructor to perform administrative duties necessary to meet requirements of program accreditation, credentialing, and/or federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions:
* Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging lesson plans that align with the learning objectives.
* Provide theoretical and practical instruction and employ strong classroom management skills, including independent judgment, subject matter expertise, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of teaching theory and methodologies.
* Demonstrate and model proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in massage therapy.
* Ensure students develop requisite entry-level knowledge, skills, and competencies to sit for certification or licensure and/or work in the field.
* Advise, assist, and tutor students, and connect them with available resources to support their learning.
* Supervise and provide hands-on guidance to students during practical sessions and clinical practice.
* Identify and address individual learning needs and support students who may require it.
* Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and growth.
* Assess student progress through evaluations, examinations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and new techniques in massage therapy to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and applicable.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the improvement, development, and continuous enhancements of the Massage Therapy program.
* Collaborate with the Non-Credit Project Coordinator on recruitment, student concerns, scheduling, information dissemination, and other pertinent matters related to the program.
* Effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
* Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.

Supervision Statement:
Works under the general direction of the Dean of Health Professions, Health and Physical Education and the Associate Dean/Director of Nursing.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and manipulate objects; perform cognitive and psychometric work for extended periods of time. Remain on their feet for extended periods of time. This position may work with individuals who may be in crisis. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work safely.

Position Summary
The University of Oregon's Special Education and Clinical Sciences (SPECS) Department in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic instructional vacancies for temporary teaching assignments. The Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management (PPPM) offers 3 master's programs, including Community and Regional Planning, Nonprofit Management, and Public Administration. The Community and Regional Planning program awards a MCRP and is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board. The Public Administration program awards an MPA and is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). The department also offers an undergraduate PPPM major, pre-PPPM major, and minors in PPPM and Nonprofit Administration (NPA). The department is home to 14 tenure-track faculty, 40 non-tenure track faculty, 100 graduate students and 450 undergraduate students.
Position Summary
Lecturers will teach graduate, and instructors will teach undergraduate classes in community and regional planning, nonprofit management, public policy, or public administration. Our intent is to establish a local teaching pool for possible appointments in urban planning, natural resource policy, education policy, local government management, human resource management, management information systems, financial management, health policy, equity and social justice, and other areas of planning, public administration, public policy, and nonprofit management. We seek candidates from diverse backgrounds who have the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Requirements
Instructor:
• Master's degree.
In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for a degree.
Lecturer (for those teaching primarily graduate-level courses):
• Terminal degree in relevant field.
Professional Competencies
• Proficient communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
