Overview
Lead and define the strategic vision for our CMS, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture, and design system orchestration. Own end-to-end product lifecycle - from discovery, strategy, and roadmap creation to execution, launch, and iteration - ensuring cohesive user experiences and scalable systems across all frontends.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
Define and communicate a clear vision for CMS, BFF, and design system integrations aligned with business objectives.
Continuously evolve a multi-product roadmap prioritizing impact, scalability, and cross-channel consistency.
Collaborate deeply with engineering, UX/design, platform, data, and frontend teams to craft orchestration layers and design system integration.
Act as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on goals and timeline.
Drive user and stakeholder research to identify CMS and UI orchestration needs across channels.
Analyze competitive offerings and ecosystem trends to inform product differentiation strategy.
Own feature delivery through agile processes - define and prioritize backlog, specify requirements, run sprints, and monitor delivery.
Collaborate with designers to define UI components and design system elements that ensure consistency and scalability across web and mobile native platforms.
Coordinate GTM efforts - partner with Merchandising, Marketing, and key stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption.
Enable engineering and support teams with documentation and training on CMS, BFF patterns, and design system.
Define and track KPIs (e.g., time-to-market, adoption rates, performance, UX metrics).
Iterate based on qualitative and quantitative data to improve orchestration capabilities.
Coach junior PMs in strategic thinking, technical complexity, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
6+ years in productmanagement with 3+ years at senior level in CMS, API orchestration, or platform-level infrastructure.
Comfortable with frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue), BFF patterns, API design, and design systems.
Experience crafting product strategies, roadmaps, and using data to measure outcomes.
Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional programs and mentoring PMs.

* Lead an experienced team of 6-8 Digital Product Specialists across several roles* Accountable for leading all discovery, research and productmanagement responsibilities for cat.com including (but not limited to) wayfinding, navigation, site search and templates for customer education and product selection* Lead discovery, strategy and solution design activities for customer journeys delivered within the core content sections within cat.com* Act as the key decision-maker regarding prioritized product features while ensuring clear communication of those priorities to team, taking ownership for the success and quality of your product* Build tight collaboration and understanding of stakeholder needs and business goals - at times facilitating solutioning and brainstorming activities to transform broad ideas and concepts into clear goal alignment and desired customer requirements/experiences* Manages prioritization of epics, features and enhancements for both existing and future state* Partners upstream with Caterpillar's business units to understand marketing strategy, commercial plans and product priorities* Partners downstream with Application Engineering, Platform and AI teams to develop and deploy new features and new releases on schedule**Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Software Change Request Management:** Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff. **Software Engineering:** Knowledge of software engineering; ability to deliver new or enhanced fee-based software products. **Software Product Business Knowledge:** Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision. **Software ProductManagement:** Knowledge of software productmanagement; ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle. **Software Product Technical Knowledge:** Knowledge of technical aspects of a software products;
