    Overview/Function: The Route Driver plays a key role in the sales process of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company products, making timely deliveries to various customer locations. They may also help in setting out and/or rotating new product and adjusting point-of-sale displays. Major Responsibilities: Follow work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while making deliveries of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling company products to customer sites along designated route Follow all DOT laws and company policies and standards. Unload vehicle at customer site, moving product to designated location(s), filling shelves, rotating stock, building displays, and receiving prior unsold goods (credits) Follow all safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly work area at customer site to ensure safety for themselves and customers. Ensure professional contact with customers and maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times in order to favorably represent the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image. Ethical conduct is expected at all times. Other duties as required. Qualifications Experience & Qualifications: High school diploma/GED. No greater than 2 moving violations, and no OWIs in the last five years Class A CDL with air brakes is required. (We will help candidate to obtain.) Excellent customer service communication skills in order to interact with customers. Must provide professional contact and appearance with customers which upholds Atlantic Bottlings brand image. Ability to read and follow directions and work orders Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols Customer-focused and an excellent team-player. Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations. Some light computer experience is helpful. Regular, consistent attendance is an essential job function. Must have reliable transportation. Additional: The role will travel to various customer sites; each environment will differ as a result. This position is very active and requires the employee to stay alert and focused while driving. They will frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.) Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The route driver will frequently interact with customers. The ability to climb stairs is also needed. Extensive day travel will be required with this role. To accomplish their tasks, the position will need to work around variety of weather environments which Iowa offers (i.e. sun, rain, sleet, rain, snow, cold, heat) The role is considered a safety sensitive position. Job Details Hotel Shuttle Driver - Hilton Des Moines, downtown Starting pay $15 per hour PLUS cash tips daily No CDL required 4pm to midnight, Saturday and Sunday Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $15 per hour plus $4 - $7 per hour in tips. Work Schedule: The potential work schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday, 4pm to midnight. Descriptive Statement(s) - % of Time Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by manager and the client contact. Must be able to learn and remember pick-up and destination points. Knowledge of all property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities as well as main attractions in the area, parking rates, etc.- 40% Must be able to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests, location staff and co-workers. Acknowledges and greets guests within 30 seconds while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last name at all times when appropriate. Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure. Appropriately uses salutation of the day and welcome to property.- 20% Can only operate a vehicle that seats eight people or less, including driver . Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lights, air-conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. prior to moving vehicle . Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage and submits to manager.- 20% Protects guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements. Maintains the security of client financial and identifying information. May not provide “lift” services or assistance to any hotel or hospital guest; only offer a hand for assistance. Check wheelchairs for safe operation prior to each use and must clean wheelchairs after each use. Must be able to assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle. May be required to use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts.-20% The total amount of time for all functions of the job - 100% QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen and other requirements set forth by the client Due to vehicle leasing contract requirements must be at least 21 years of age Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times Pass annual / semiannual MVR check Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge: Must be able to drive manual transmission Skills: Ability to read and write standard English language Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed SCOPE Authority to Act: Job is fairly routine.
