MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide main service to all guest rooms.To respond promptly to any guest room cleaning requests.
Provide quality service to ensure positive comment cards.
Creates a safe, comfortable and friendly working environment to enable the team to deliver an outstanding overall level of service.
Provides overall cleaning services to guest rooms.
Strips all beds used in check-out and occupied rooms.
Make up bed according to hotel standards.
Check under the bed.
Replace any burnt out light bulbs.
Dust and/or polish all furniture.
Vacuum carpets, mop wooden floors and dust high.
Clean doors inside and out.
Wash and polish mirrors and windows.
Turn on TV to make sure it is working properly.
Check room for damage, report to Housekeeping.
Clean closet including closet mirrors.
Empty, wash and dry all ashtrays. (This is a smoke free property; only when instructed by management.)
Empty and wipe out wastebaskets.
Replace all used or damaged amenities.
Fold guest belongings; pair up shoes (stay over guests).
Check all areas of rooms for any left items. All left items must be reported to Security.
Clean telephone.
Wash and dry all tile or marble surfaces, making sure all hair is removed.
Wash and dry tub.
Clean and polish all brass.
Wash and dry shower doors.
Clean inside and outside of toilet.
Replace all soiled linen in the bag.
Restock amenities, toilet tissue and Kleenex.
Clean the water glasses.
Clean and dry ice bucket, tray and glasses.
Cleans and services all assigned rooms to the standard set by El Encanto and to LQA standards.
Maintains neat appearance of Housekeeper's bag/basket.
Takes responsibility for keeping housekeeping carts, linen and supply rooms neat and orderly at all times.
Assist in any other related duties as required.
Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
Reports all maintenance concerns to a Supervisor or Office coordinator.
Completes all assigned tasks in accordance with all safety procedures as defined by El Encanto.
Follows key handling procedure set by El Encanto.
Reports and hands in all Lost and Found items according to the Lost and Found procedure established by El Encanto.
Follows all procedures regarding punch-in and punch-out for work as defined by El Encanto.
Follows all procedures regarding attendance, lateness and absence as set by El Encanto.
Follows standards set by El Encanto and LQA.
Utilizes supplies efficiently to eliminate waste.
Follows recycling practices defined by El Encanto.
Use utilities and resources in a responsible manner to control wastage.
Communicate relevant information to the department, your line manager and across departments, as appropriate.
