Part Time: 9a-5:30p MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Successful completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program or enrollment in a professional-related school preferred. 6 months experience as Pharmacy Technician or completion of ASHP-accredited tech training program preferred. Current CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA and active Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration, or current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with a current Georgia Pharmacy Intern license. Must maintain certification and registration through entire length of employment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Assists with operational support functions, including minor housekeeping activities and department cleaning/disinfecting/decontaminating standards to maintain the work area. Conducts regular quality assurance inspections focused on TJC requirements, including the examination of product integrity and expiration. Maintains competency and follows departmental, OSHA, USP, and EPA guidelines to safely and accurately handle, prepare, distribute, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous prod. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Completes all required training and competency assessments in a timely fashion. Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Assists in the orientation and training of new personnel. The primary duties will focus on: (1) fabrication of scientific sensors via soldering; (2) measurements of forest productivity and physiology, including above- and belowground growth parameters and indices, tree and soil gas exchange, tree water use, and soil sampling; and (3) experimental maintenance, including monitoring and control of forest plot irrigation system, herbicide application, brush cutting, and other activities are also required. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, be capable of working independently and as part of a team and capable of troubleshooting problems with equipment. Basic laboratory and data management skills are needed. Experience with forest measurement and ecophysiology techniques and equipment is highly desirable, including use of sap flow sensors, soil moisture sensors, thermocouples, dataloggers, infrared gas analyzers, pressure chambers, etc. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical Demands This is a field position. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Area of specialty includes but is not limited to performance as an HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic; Performs electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing work without direct supervision; Services and installs equipment such as air conditioners, heaters, ice machines, refrigerators, and freezers; Operates, maintains, installs, and repairs air conditioning, heating, ventilation, exhaust, and refrigeration equipment, including compressors, motors, coils, valves, refrigerant lines, controls, chillers, and heating components; Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment; Operates and diagnoses discrepancies with computer-based control systems; establishes program schedules, archived data, system run parameters, and emergency system restarts; Installs, maintains and repairs air distribution systems and components; Searches out and reads technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot and repair equipment and control systems; Assists in estimating and planning maintenance and construction projects; Familiarizes system staff with the proper routine operation of user-controlled HVAC equipment and controls; Keeps current regarding new rules and regulations applicable to HVAC servicing and refrigerants; Oversees and ensures the proper completion of work when performed and assisted by assigned Helpers and/or Laborers; Accurately and promptly documents labor hours and materials expanded on assigned tasks; Identifies and reports to Supervisor repair needs and safety discrepancies when observed at facilities; Safely operates and works from ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and personnel lift; Assists in the design and specification of new HVAC and control systems and verifying the performance of work completed under purchase order contracts; Maintains accountability and inventory for assigned tools and equipment; May be required to supervise HVAC crew members, students, or trainees on routine tasks; Responsible for maintaining the required uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times; Frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl during a regular work day; Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.; Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.     As the drywall technician, you will install drywall on walls and ceilings and secure drywall panels to the building's interior framework. You will prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints, smooth out imperfections, and work with ceiling tile installers to build walls. Among other duties, you will read blueprints and designs; prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing; and use a lift to position ceiling panels. You will also measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels and press paper tape into compound. After pressing the paper, you will apply multiple coats of compound, smooth away excess material, and sand the surfaces between coats. Additionally, you will fill joints between panels and cover nail and screw holes with spackle using a trowel. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to two years' experience or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Ability to pass DOT medical exam Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
