Behavioral technician job at Autism Therapeutic Services
The BehavioralTechnician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction
protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and
related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. The BehavioralTechnician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Behavior
Analyst, Lead BehavioralTechnician, and ABA Interns with clinical assessments as needed. The
BehavioralTechnician will be responsible for implementing the duties of the Lead BehavioralTechnician and ABA Interns in the temporary absence of these team members. Essential
components of this position are listed below but subject to change at the discretion of Autism
Therapeutic Services LLC. This job description describes essential job functions, but does not
provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned. Specific duties & responsibilities will
vary depending upon classification (Behavioral Tech 1-5).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Complete introduction to Autism and ABA Training
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive
teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment and
behavior reduction protocols.
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by
the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Assist Lead BehavioralTechnician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns with skill acquisition
and behavior reduction assessments.
Assist Lead BehavioralTechnician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns in preparing client
materials as instructed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Assume Lead BehavioralTechnician responsibilities in their absence.
Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals,
Lead BehavioralTechnician, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers,
supervisors, and community members.
Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as
indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional
development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to
required standard.
Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling,
sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as
indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with
challenging behavior.
Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for
data collection.
Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and
community placements.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer,
electronic devices, and paper means.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites
within the Greater Worcester Area and other assigned locations.
Must have a valid Driver's License & insurance in good standing
Must have open communication with BCBA, supervisor, office manager and family
QUALIFICATIONS:
BehavioralTechnician 1: Entry Level
BehavioralTechnician 2-5: Various Experience & Education Levels
EXPERIENCE:
Required: None
Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-16 providing in a classroom or 1:1 setting;
experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or
Allied Health Services experience
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma & a GED equivalent .
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior
Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or related field.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Employment Supervisor: Executive Director
Clinical Supervisor: Behavior Analyst
RELATED TRAINING:
Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once
employed including, but not limited to: CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, RBT
trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.

Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during behavioral incidents or transitions.
Comfortable working in a confined setting (e.g., school van) for extended periods.

Position Summary
The Registered BehavioralTechnician (RBT) will work under the direction of the Clinical Director and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support the Clinical Department. This role involves staff training, data collection, and ensuring the proper implementation of behavior plans. The RBT will collaborate with team members while adhering to MHA's Core Values-Respect, Integrity, and Compassion-as well as organizational policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled visits to program sites and monitor data collection processes to ensure accuracy and address issues.
Collaborate with supervising clinician to evaluate data, assess treatment plan progress, and modify behavior plans as needed.
Provide training and model behavior plan implementation for staff to ensure fidelity and effective support.
Complete low-level behavioral assessments under supervision and participate in relevant meetings such as ISPs and risk meetings.
Assess participants' abilities, interests, and needs to support Individual Service Plan (ISP) development and implementation.
Respond to emergencies, including crisis intervention and medical situations, following agency policies and report any suspected abuse or neglect.
Assist participants with medical, dental, and psychiatric appointments and monitor medication and health issues in coordination with nursing staff.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and use of online reporting systems within required timelines.
Promote safety by identifying hazards, reporting accidents, assisting in emergency evacuations, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Participate actively in team meetings, professional supervision, mandatory trainings, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Reports to: Director of Operations/BHT Supervisor
About this role:
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for assisting and supporting the Facility Director and all treatment program staff, in coordinating and providing the day-to-day operational needs of the facility and its patients'. BHT's are responsible for assisting with scheduled monitoring and reporting of the condition of the facility to ensure safe and orderly operations.
The BHT is involved with certain intake procedures, including but not limited to obtaining data when a patient arrives to the facility, conducting searches and rounds, ensuring the safety of a patient during their treatment stay, and assisting the treatment teams with the overseeing of patients' throughout their daily schedules within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal Regulations. Depending on an individual's safe driving record, some BHT's may be involved with transportation and complying with vehicle and road/patient safety measures.
As a BHT with Harmony, you will:
Assist with the supervision of patients' in their daily activities.
Ensure that the patient's follow the clinical schedule, and communicates any issues to the treatment team.

- Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms

- Screen for co-occurring mental health issues
- Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities
- With the individual served, formulate mutually agreed-upon, measurable treatment goals and objectives

Arbor Associates is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and fully licensed Registered BehaviorTechnician (RBT) to support students within the Central Falls School District. This long-term contract role plays a key part in delivering high-quality behavioral support, assisting students with developmental, behavioral, and personal-care needs, and ensuring each child can access their education safely and successfully.

Key Responsibilities
As an RBT Contractor placed through Arbor, you will work under the direction of the classroom teacher, building administrator, and student services leadership to:
Behavioral & Instructional Support
Implement ABA-based strategies with fidelity in alignment with student plans.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to reinforce learning, behavior goals, and skill development.
Assist with instructional activities and preparation of classroom materials, including adaptive equipment.
Support the instructional team by collecting data, documenting progress, and communicating observations.
Student Care & Daily Living Support
Assist students with personal care needs, including hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, and transitions.
Support safe physical transfers and mobility needs throughout the day.
Ensure consistent supervision to maintain student health, safety, and engagement.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to carry out student plans.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and ethical standards.
Communicate effectively with staff, families, and, when appropriate, community partners.
Compliance, Documentation & Professional Conduct
Complete daily logs and required documentation, including Medicaid PCA logs where applicable.
Report student incidents, injuries, absences, and concerns promptly through appropriate channels.
Adapt to schedule or classroom changes as needed, including reassignment when students are absent.
Follow all district policies regarding safety, conduct, confidentiality, and professional practice.
School Environment Responsibilities
Support classroom routines, transitions, recess, lunch, and field trips.
Provide consistent reinforcement, prompting, and behavior supports aligned with student plans.
Assist with clerical or instructional tasks as directed by school leadership.

The BehavioralTechnician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction
protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and
related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. The BehavioralTechnician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Behavior
Analyst, Lead BehavioralTechnician, and ABA Interns with clinical assessments as needed. The
BehavioralTechnician will be responsible for implementing the duties of the Lead BehavioralTechnician and ABA Interns in the temporary absence of these team members. Essential
components of this position are listed below but subject to change at the discretion of Autism
Therapeutic Services LLC. This job description describes essential job functions, but does not
provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned. Specific duties & responsibilities will
vary depending upon classification (Behavioral Tech 1-5).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Complete introduction to Autism and ABA Training
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive
teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment and
behavior reduction protocols.
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by
the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Assist Lead BehavioralTechnician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns with skill acquisition
and behavior reduction assessments.
Assist Lead BehavioralTechnician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns in preparing client
materials as instructed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Assume Lead BehavioralTechnician responsibilities in their absence.
Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals,
Lead BehavioralTechnician, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling,
sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as
indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with
challenging behavior.
Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for
data collection.
Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and
community placements.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer,
electronic devices, and paper means.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites
within the Greater Worcester Area and other assigned locations.
Must have a valid Driver's License & insurance in good standing
Must have open communication with BCBA, supervisor, office manager and family

EXPERIENCE:
Required: None
Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-16 providing in a classroom or 1:1 setting;
experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or
Allied Health Services experience
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma & a GED equivalent .
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior
Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or related field.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Employment Supervisor: Executive Director
Clinical Supervisor: Behavior Analyst
RELATED TRAINING:
Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once
employed including, but not limited to: CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, RBT
trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.
