Job Summary:
The Service Specialist/Advanced Specialist for PVA (Jiffy Lube) is a Lube Technician that performs the advanced maintenance services to ensure the safety of our customer's vehicles. The Service Specialist/Advanced Specialist may work in various positions to meet the individual needs of the customer; therefore, they are thoroughly cross trained in-house for all roles.
Job Description:
Provide impartial recommendations or options that are tailored specifically to guest's needs based on manufacturer recommendations and technicians' findings.
Work efficiently to service the customers in a timely fashion, prioritizing safety always.
Perform automotive maintenance of the engine, transmission, axles, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical, heating/air conditioning, tires, batteries, and spark plugs.
Perform preventative maintenance such as oil and filter change, refill fluid levels, inspecting and replacing lights, and replacing wiper blades.
Participate in regular on-site and e-learning training, and maintain compliance with Jiffy Lube safety requirements, OSHA, and state regulations.
Participate in marketing events and promotions.

You'll get your hands dirty serving as a mid-level auto tech performing medium-duty work. Other responsibilities include:
Providing highly skilled maintenance and repairs for all vehicles.
Performing diagnostics which may include brake components, tires, suspension components, drivability and complete repairs.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?
Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.

THE "NUTS AND BOLTS" NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS
* Minimum two years of automotive repair experience. (ASE certifications are preferred but not required.)
* Must have own tools (We offer a great tool purchase program!)
* Capable of operating machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanic trade -- diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.
* Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistency follow store policies and procedures.
* Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
* Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
* Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
* Capable of continuous standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs).
* Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
* Availability to work on Saturdays.
* We are focused on safety, but Service Techs should be comfortable with occasional exposure to mechanical hazards and outside weather conditions.
