A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN CASHIER/SALES CLERK
As a Cashier/Sales Clerk, you spend your day compiling and tabulating data, checking documents for accuracy, transporting documents, and maintaining files. Other duties reviewing correspondence, purchase orders, summaries, manuals, vouchers, records, and actions such as filing and data entry. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include performing weekly, monthly, and annual inventory for audit; inspect merchandise; price items and display merchandise effectively. You generally assist with balancing the cash register at the start and finish of each shift; open and close the facility according to established policies and procedures. You also assist with greeting, purchasing items and making suggestions to customers while providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CASHIER/SALES CLERK
High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
One (1) year of experience in progressive clerical, money handling and cashiering responsibilities.

The Project Checker will provide drawing and detail checking. They also provide assistance to Project Managers and Project Coordinators as required or requested.
Job Duties:
* Review estimate, contract, and contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.) to become familiar with project.
* Check erection drawings and piece tickets against contract documents, approval drawings and "mark-ups."
* Suggest or modify detail to reduce costs to County Prestress, owner, and/or erector
* Compare actual project being drawn with estimate at bid sheet and alert Project Manager/Engineer and Estimator of quantity or material deviations.
* Ensure piece drawings are available a minimum of two days prior to their production dates.
* Ensure embed plates and loose material are checked well before they required so material can be fabricated, assembled, and delivered.
* Stay in continual contact with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Project Scheduler in order to meet erection and production schedules.
* Responsible for checking dimensions and scope of work of drawings & details prepare by others.
* Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Coordinators during development of erection drawings and piece tickets.
* Work with all other County Prestress departments to promote a strong working relationship.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects, contractors as required.
