What You Will Contribute:
Job Duties:
Assisting the mechanical engineering department on design projects as necessary
Working directly with senior engineers and designers to learn industry practices and implement them in daily work.
Checking engineering drawings, parts lists, and test sheets for accuracy and thoroughness.
Creating and/or modifying component and assembly models and drawings using CAD.
Conducting all design, model, and print work in PTC Creo 3.0 CAD package
Conducting engineering verification testing as directed by lead engineers
Organizing test data and presents reports back to the engineering team.
35% CAD modeling and print work
35% Engineering verification test support
20% Individual project
10% Additional projects, tasks, and/ or assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
Currently pursing Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products
Working Conditions:
Depending on the assigned department, must complete an audiogram test

Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Provides initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

* Collect, organize, and assist in analyzing transportation traffic data.
* Conduct research and summarize technical information in relation to traffic and pedestrian safety.
* Review development projects and apply town, state, and/or federal level standards/regulations
* Review the 5-year maintenance plan in conjunction with the latest street deficiencies scan to provide updates and rankings for town lead maintenance projects.
* Support the evaluation and development of transportation-related CIP projects.
* Review intersections (both signalized and non-signalized) for safety and level of service (LOS) related improvements.
* Support transportation staff with inquiries related to current and long-range engineering initiatives.
* Perform fieldwork as needed, including site visits and documentation.
* Coordinate with other Town departments, including Parks & Recreation, Police, and Environmental Services, on transportation related projects.
* Collaborate with the Communications & Community Engagement Department and assist with public outreach and information.
* Maintain records and file documents in compliance with Town policies.
* Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Support 3D CAD design / modeling needs for existing and new fuel cell stack related components along with managing the definition and accuracy of various stack product configurations.
Work with Stack Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to ensure proper models, drawing, and BOMs.
Capture and coordinate various change control documentation and associated activities for each stack product.
Develop an effective means to communicate the latest stack design configurations, associated subcomponent variations, and current design changes.
Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions

Education and Qualification
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or a related program
Prior Internship or Co-op experience preferred

Background/experience with 3D CAD software. Creo and Windchill experience is desirable.

Assists in and/or develops and implements the automated water meter data collection program; develops all related renewal and replacement (R&R) or Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects to improve reliability and overall system coverage.
Assists in managing the FKAA Asset Management Program by coordinating annual field asset inventory and condition assessments, conducting regular asset criticality assessments, and defining a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program on critical assets.
Assists in capital planning through review of asset maintenance histories and other relevant asset data, as well as identifying projects identified in the FKAA Master Plan.
May supervise and/or manage administrative and/or field personnel as assigned.
Receives various forms, reports, correspondence, manuals, reference materials, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering required with a minimum of three (3) years previous experience within a water/wastewater utility and/or consulting engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater system design.
A Master's degree in civil, chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience as indicated above.
Must be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within six (6) months of hire.
Must have a valid State driver license, with the ability to obtain a State of Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of hire.
Requires advanced computer skills to utilize word processing and spreadsheet programs to generate reports, graphics, tables, etc.; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and experience in database development and management desired.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
