What You Will Contribute:
The Production I Materials is responsible for the support of all departments (plant and administration) in the Milwaukee Facility and for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area. You will proceed under general supervision and your work will be subject to process and final inspection in accordance with Badger Meter's quality management system. You may be assigned to work in other departments or perform other duties as instructed by management.
Job Duties:
Packer:
Fills customer parts orders from floor stock and shuttles
Replenishes stock per service parts shortage report
Processes inventory transactions in inventory control system resulting from stock replenishment
Utilize inventory control system to print and review releasable order report and release customer orders.
Prepares materials for shipment to other Badger Meter facilities and prepares appropriate shipping documents
Ability to read and understand customer orders
Prepares and packs customer orders for shipment, double checking parts for pick accuracy.
Packs parts securely into cartons per most recent department standards and methods
Maintains carton stock at station
Processes courier packages through computerized shipping system.
Packs configured customer orders, Office Services orders, and miscellaneous shipping orders
Sets up and operates hot stamping and engraving machines as part of the identification procedure for meters and parts
Stores Keeper:
Performs diversified material movement tasks by utilizing hand, power trucks and electric hoist
Locates, selects, and issues productive materials, parts and assemblies to requesting departments throughout the plant and work centers for current shift production and staging of next-shift start up as directed by management or cell workers
Receives, counts, weighs, records, prints ID tags and stores production materials and parts and performs the related inventory transactions in inventory control and production reporting systems
Performs floor to file cycle counts and quarterly inventory audits. Removes ID tags from all reusable containers
Performs loading and unloading of trucks, pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand as required or with electric hoist
Prepares the necessary documents for product processed by outside vendors. Consolidates inventory in bins to reduce storage space needed
May fulfill pick lists, resupply orders and outside operation orders
Shipping/Receiving:
Performs diversified distribution tasks
Utilizes power trucks to move product throughout the plant
Receives, identifies, inspects and enters into the inventory control software all incoming materials
Delivers the incoming materials and parts to production and support departments
Locate, prepare and stage for pick-up outgoing shipments, checking quantities against the customer orders and adhering to special shipping and labeling requirements of the material and customer
Process shipments through the Transportation Management Software
Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming truck shipments
Loads trailers and prepares documents for product going to other Badger Meter facilities
Unloads trailers from other Badger Meter facilities verifying incoming products to supporting documentation
Education and Experience:
High School Degree/GED preferred
0-1 years of related experience preferred
Qualifications:
Basic ability to read and understand customer orders required
Basic proficiency with computers required
Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training if applicable required
Basic skills in math
Ability to read, write and speak English required

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring customer orders are packaged and shipped accurately and on-time, by exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks. This position will ensure that incoming orders are received into stock, part numbers and quantities are confirmed to appropriate paperwork and routed to the correct department based on priority level. Inventory will be transported and transacted between locations as needed to support flow of product between functional areas.
Job Duties:
Responsible for pre-packaging and/or final packaging of customer orders.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and backorders to accurately process orders using appropriate computer software.
Use appropriate packaging materials to ensure all products/parts are properly packaged to prevent damage and/or loss.
Verify packing lists, purchase orders, Bill of Ladings, or other documents to determine priorities, accuracies, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules and/or customer requirements.
Function as a liaison between the shipping staff, internal departments, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders, including arranging transportation schedules with carriers.
Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify proper personnel for maintenance when needed.
Periodically load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/ pickup vehicles and replenish shipping materials.
Perform pickups of finished product or parts for transport to the shipping department.
Maintain an organized layout and safe work environment.
Receive incoming materials, processing in appropriate computer software, verifying part numbers and quantities of product to appropriate paperwork.
Coordinate material movement both in the appropriate computer system as determined systematically and physically with use of a forklift, tugger, hand jack, and pushcart to deliver product to appropriate department as needed to support production needs.
Education and Experience:
High School/GED required
0-1+ years of prior warehouse experience desired
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Load, unload, move, locate, relocate and/or stack merchandise in a safe, accurate, and orderly manner using a pick or other power equipment.
* Ensure racks are efficiently used by moving product as necessary to free up space and to ensure product protection from damage.
* Assist in physical inventories as required by supervisor.
* Ensure all paperwork concerning the pulling of merchandise is completed correctly and turned in on time according to procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
* Requires an efficient, detailed-oriented person who can be responsive in a deadline and results driven environment.
* Ability to safely move up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance.
* Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
* Previous experience using lifts or a forklift certification is preferred.
* Ability to communicate in the English language in both speech and writing.
* Demonstrates a customer focus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* The physical activities of this position may include speaking, sitting, standing, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
* Must have good balance and coordination.

Load/unload trucks, move/stock material, pull orders, assemble/package products for shipment, and handle receipts. Assist with all tasks within warehouse as needed.
Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Load and unload incoming/outgoing orders
Ensure material is shipped, received, store, and allocated correctly and accurately within warehouse
Maintain packing specifications and making suitable skids/pallets
Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed
Maintain the appearance of the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner
Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services

Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in supporting hurricane response efforts in Florida by facilitating the efficient movement of goods and materials at designated sites. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklift equipment to load, unload, and transport supplies, equipment, and other necessary resources to assist affected areas and response personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to lift, move, and stack materials.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
Transport goods and materials to designated areas within the warehouse, distribution center, or other site locations.
Stack and arrange materials in an organized manner to maximize storage space and ensure easy access.
Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the forklift, documenting any issues or maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, inventory, and equipment operation.
Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and other team members to coordinate material movement and ensure smooth operations.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including those related to forklift operation, load handling, and workplace safety.
Operate forklift in various weather conditions, including potentially hazardous conditions associated with hurricane aftermath.
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as manual loading/unloading, and site cleanup.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:
Must possess Forklift Operator certification.
Must possess prior Forklift Operator experience.
Be prepared to deploy to disaster-affected areas, often with short notice.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
