About our program:
The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.
Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. We offer all of our New Grads multiple Career Pathways and development opportunities to achieve your long-term career goals. Whether you are wanting to go into a specialty unit, leadership roles, non-bedside nursing opportunities, or any other sector of nursing - we will help you get there! The expectation is that you will stay on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to get a full and comprehensive training experience! New Grads will also need to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility they are hired into.
Most new nurses will work three 12-hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members.

Unit Overview:
The Med Surg MOT unit has 44-beds with an average daily census of 40 patients. There are full-time positions available that include every third weekend and rotating holidays. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. POSITION SUMMARY

You may support a support a surgical oncologist and assist with clinic-appropriate procedures. You will have clinic two or three days/week (patients coming in to see the oncologist) and one or two days to prep for and close clinic (no patients coming to clinic these days. We are expanding access to care to our oncology patients: depending upon the team you join, in addition to working at North Campus, you may have a clinic day/week at one of our other clinical sites both in operation currently and/or new sites as we grow.
Things to Note:
This is not a hands on/direct/medical care type nursing position as you would find in a traditional hospital inpatient setting. You will see patients but will focus on coordinating care rather than physically caring for patients. As a result, much of your time will be spent on computer work and phone calls when triaging patient message box.

The **Banner Boswell PCU Oncology Unit** consists of 22 private rooms with the ability to flex up to 42 semi-private rooms with the capability of utilizing up to 16 remote cardiac monitors which are centrally monitored from a centralized monitor room viewing station. Eleven of our 22 private rooms are designated for Medical Oncology patients with cancer and related diagnoses and the administration of chemotherapy. Eleven additional rooms are designated for general surgeries which can consist of urology, plastics, gynecological and abdominal cases. On our unit we can also see overflow medical patients with simple pneumonias, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders. This unit participates in our **Progress In Place** initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions, and we serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.

The Banner Boswell PCU Oncology Unit consists of 22 private rooms with the ability to flex up to 42 semi-private rooms with the capability of utilizing up to 16 remote cardiac monitors which are centrally monitored from a centralized monitor room viewing station. Eleven of our 22 private rooms are designated for Medical Oncology patients with cancer and related diagnoses and the administration of chemotherapy. Eleven additional rooms are designated for general surgeries which can consist of urology, plastics, gynecological and abdominal cases. On our unit we can also see overflow medical patients with simple pneumonias, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders. This unit participates in our Progress In Place initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions, and we serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.

This is a unique facility-based PRN position, meaning that you will be dedicated to only one specific unit at this facility. You will not float to any other unit or facility. Hours are 7AM - 7:30PM with a 2 shifts per month minimum, specific to this unit. This position offers an additional flat rate weekend differential of $3/hour and an 18% night shift differential when applicable.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide professional nursing services to patients/residents at home. The nursing process includes the documentation of human responses to actual or potential health problems in the home health environment. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions. Collaborates with patient/resident and family, other inter-professional colleagues, such as physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned setting. Cares for patients/residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients/residents in the home setting. Responsible to implement the nursing process, the coordination and continuum of care, patient/resident assessment, patient/resident education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Depending on location, a valid drivers license may be required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide professional nursing services to patients/residents at home.
Job Description
The nursing process includes the documentation of human responses to actual or potential health problems in the home health environment. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions. Collaborates with patient/resident and family, other inter-professional colleagues, such as physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned setting. Cares for patients/residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients/residents in the home setting. Responsible to implement the nursing process, the coordination and continuum of care, patient/resident assessment, patient/resident education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Depending on location, a valid drivers license may be required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Certificate for Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) Specialist - Clinical (COS-C) preferred.
