As a RegisteredNurse supporting the Ambulatory Oncology team at the Banner Health Cancer Center Tucson, you will work with likeminded staff who strive to go above and beyond for the patients. You will apply sound judgment, clinical expertise, and execute critical nursing interventions to all populations within the patient care setting. You will conduct patient assessments and develop and implement nursing care plans to foster quality outcomes. This is a full-time position, scheduled 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (Once the fundamentals of the roles are achieved, adjustment of work schedule can be reviewed with leadership. Clinic hours are 0800-1700, we are closed for the Banner recognized holidays and weekends).
This RN role is a pivotal part of patient care at our Cancer Center. The RN coordinator is the focal point to the path between the interdisciplinary team and the patient. Daily routines include:
Patient communication, education and triage
Coordination of patient-physician visits, to include inpatient treatments
Addressing medication needs, interpreting lab values and pathology
Knowing treatment regimens, nursing indications and understanding adverse reactions
Building a relationship with the physician and other key players of the oncology team
Assisting pediatric and adult patients for radiation treatments under sedation

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.

As a Medical Imaging Nurse in Interventional Radiology, you'll play a vital role supporting advanced imaging and interventional procedures. This role focuses primarily on IR, MRI, and CT, including high-acuity cases such as trauma and stroke. Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts with start times between 7:00AM-8:00 AM. Weekends and holidays are off; however, on-call coverage is required for both.

The RN will be responsible for circulating and monitoring Cath/EP cases which includes patient assessments, medication administration, documentation and collaboration with fellow staff/physicians/fellows. This position does require wearing lead for every procedure and transporting patients. There's also interactions required with vendor reps for different devices used in the lab. Cases include planned outpatients, inpatients, and emergencies. The preferred candidate must have experience working in Cath Lab, CVICU, CVOR, EP, or IR to be considered.

Full-Time: 3 12's Monday - Friday
Call Requirement: Late Call (7-11pm), Overnight Call (M-F 7p-7a), Weekend Call (Sat-Sun 7a to 7a)-Averaging 5-8 shifts a month.
Location: BUMCT and BUMCS Cath Lab; RN will float between both locations as well as take on call for both locations. Candidate must live within 30 mins of the facility for call

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient's status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. RN to patient ratio: 8:1 or less. You can become an integral member of our patient's team, along with psychiatric doctors, case managers, pharmacists, BH specialists, and security officers.
As a Behavioral Health RN on the East DeEx unit, you will assist with our highest acuity level of involuntary behavioral health patients. On this team, you will spend your days completing nursing assessments, medication administration, daily living activities, keeping patients safe, and encouraging patients to learn new coping skills and/or attend group sessions. Candidates with strong prior behavioral health experience and/or prior de-escalation experience will be preferred on this unit.
Floating to the other 2 Behavioral Health units on this campus may be required (determined daily by census numbers).

Has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-specific structured care methodologies, such as protocols/integrated clinical pathways/guidelines/standards of care relating to the overall health care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients/residents. Interviews potential residents and assesses residents in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure. Uses assessment information for admission and continued stay in the hospice community. Establishes a service plan for each resident and evaluates on an on-going basis. Ability to communicate with patients/residents, family members and others on the health care team.
Must demonstrate independence, assertiveness and critical thinking when working with patients and co-workers. Ability to document clearly. Ability to solve problems. Self-motivated. Works with little direction. Ability to incorporate teaching/learning principles and adapt teaching to age group. Ability to facilitate groups and implement projects when necessary. Must be able to establish priorities, have strong flexibility and organizational skills. Must be knowledgeable about reimbursement for services provided.
Will be required to work primarily day hours, scheduled weekends, and occasional evenings. May be exposed to communicable or infectious disease, hazardous materials and injury from performance of assigned duties. Is subject to multiple sensory and environmental stressors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Must possess a valid driver's license.
