Social Development Research Group (SDRG) is looking for bilingual temporary hourly staff to conduct brief telephone surveys with parents of children ages 0-11 for the Best Starts for Kids Health Survey. The position is from **January - August 2026** .
Best Starts for Kids (BSK) is a voter-approved initiative to improve the health and well-being of all King County residents by investing in promotion, prevention and early intervention for children, youth, families and communities. The Best Starts for Kids Health Survey will collect information from families in King County as one way to evaluate if the BSK initiative is effective.
**Basic Function:**
**NOTE: This is NOT a medical or laboratory position.**
The function of the Bilingual Research Interviewer will involve calling participants to encourage their participation in the survey. Research Interviewers will use various tools (phone, text, email), resources and techniques to recruit and encourage participants to complete web or phone surveys. When not contacting participants, team members may do other tasks such as data entry, filing, preparing mailings, or assisting other team members, as needed. Telephone interviewers will receive training and will be expected to demonstrate mastery of basic interviewing techniques before beginning work on the project.
Training and team meetings will be held in-person at our offices in the University District. Contacting participants will be done remotely after training is completed. Calling hours are Monday - Sunday from 8am - 8pm. Bilingual Telephone Interviewers will be scheduled for 5
15 hours hours a week within that time frame, or up to 35 hours a week if also conducting interviews in English.
**Responsibilities Include:**
· Contact respondents via phone call, text, and/or email.
· Motivate respondents to finish surveys as soon as possible, help the project meet completion goals, implement refusal prevention techniques for hesitant participants; maintain high response rates.
· Conduct scripted phone interviews with the assistance of data collection software and/or encourage participants to complete surveys online.
· Adhere to project protocol by maintaining confidentiality of participant information, using project tools properly, and keeping detailed and accurate records.
· Participate in weekly staff meetings, provide on-going feedback on survey administration and procedures, and assist in problem-solving solutions

The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology in Seattle, WA has a fantastic Medical Lab Courier opportunity with our Reference Laboratory Services (RLS) Team. Medical Lab Couriers play a critical role in maintaining a strong data-driven digital chain of custody for UWMC specimens. We pick up and deliver specimens and supplies for client locations within territory that runs from Vancouver, WA to Bellingham, WA. We operate 7 days per week from 6:15 AM to 2:30 AM, on 22 different routes from 3 locations - UWMC Montlake Campus, Our Northgate Office complex, and our Renton Central Lab location. This is a part-time (50%) position and the route travels between the Montlake Campus and Northwest Hospital.

What you'll contribute:
* Works with bio hazardous specimens and adheres to "Universal Precaution" procedures.
* Prepares all lab supplies needed to be delivered to client locations.

* Knowledgeable and adheres to UW Fleet Services rules and regulations.

This Assistant Dean position will be directly tasked with developing new education products that serve the needs of post-baccalaureate students in the community, most of whom are currently employed. We anticipate launching three certificates (AI in Business, Business Fundamentals, Leadership in Engineering) that would be paired with existing certificates from Engineering and/or Computer Science.
Foster School of Business also plans to launch upwards of ten additional certificates that would be internal to Foster. The total annual student count in such programs is currently uncertain, but we anticipate approximately 100 students annually in the first three certificates, with the potential for an additional 100-200 students in the Foster-specific certificates once fully established. The summer high-school program is being expanded currently with a goal of 300 students each summer. The TechMBA program in India would ideally launch in AY28 with a total student count of 100 students.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Stackable Certificate Degree Development and Management**
+ Three initial certificates are planned in partnership with other schools on campus (AI in Business, Business Fundamentals, Leadership in Engineering). The Assistant Dean will work with the Associate Dean to develop the structure of these certificates and guiding them through the approval process (MPC and Faculty Council within Foster; Graduate School at the University level). The Assistant Dean will partner with other schools on campus to facilitate their joint execution.
+ Help create upwards of 8-10 additional certificates run solely within Foster. The Assistant Dean will work with the Associate Dean, Department Chairs and Foster's Marcom team to identify certificates with significant market demand, plan stacked degrees, and guide them through the approval process (MPC and Faculty Council within Foster; Graduate School at the University level).
+ Manage the resulting Stacked Degree portfolio. Once launched, a team would be developed to help execute the stacked degrees that would report to the Assistant Dean. This team will likely include a director, an admission officer, a student affairs officer and a career advancement officer. Some of these individuals may be drawn from existing teams within Foster, particularly to the extent that some or all of those functional teams become centralized.
**Experiential Learning Team Management**
+ *The Assistant Dean will oversee the execution of Experiential Learning throughout the Master's portfolio including a variety of project-focused classes, independent studies, consulting projects and capstone projects.
+ A variety of individuals currently manage these projects in silos, typically specific to a given program or course. As part of a full reorganization within Foster, these individuals would now report into the Assistant Dean and the resulting group would be tasked with unifying sourcing efforts, in conjunction with other outreach from Career Services and alumni support.
**Other Special Projects and New Initiatives**
The launch of TechMBA program in India as part of a joint venture with a consulting organization. The Assistant Dean will work with the Associate Dean and a Faculty Director to help guide the new program through the approval process (MPC and Faculty Council within Foster; Graduate School at the University level). Effort would be focused on the launch of this program with no expectation of active management once launched in Autumn 2027.
**Other new initiatives as they emerge**
This position will collaborate with a full team of support staff from admissions, operations, student affairs and career management. Some of these individuals will likely directly report to the Assistant Dean of Stacked Degrees, some of them may have their primary report be to other Assistant Deans within the school.

Appointment: Tenure-Track Director of Bands/Assistant Professor of Music to begin Fall 2026. The School of Music at the University of Puget Sound seeks a Director of Bands to join our faculty of dedicated teachers, vibrant performers, and forward-thinking scholars. Responsibilities:
* Direct the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band
* Teach instrumental conducting and instrumental methods and literature
* Teaching of other courses or studio teaching according to secondary areas of expertise
* Provide leadership and oversight for the winds and percussion area, including jazz orchestra and pep band
* Recruit students and coordinate recruitment efforts in winds and percussion
* Other duties include continuation of professional development, maintaining a public profile as an artist, advising students, and participation in departmental and university governance
Qualifications:
* Doctorate in Music (ABD considered), record of experience and excellence as a band conductor, and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education
* Minimum three years of secondary teaching experience
* Commitment to culturally responsive teaching, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement

About Puget Sound's School of Music:
The University of Puget Sound School of Music is a comprehensive program within a leading national liberal arts and sciences university, offering the Bachelor of Music in Performance, Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Music with an Emphasis in Songwriting, and Master of Arts in Teaching. The School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. It hosts three choral ensembles, four instrumental ensembles including a jazz orchestra, an opera theater, and chamber music groups in strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Nearly 10% of the student body participates in music ensembles, with students from across all disciplines performing alongside nearly one hundred music majors and minors. These ensembles, along with recitals by students and faculty, contribute richly to more than one hundred performances per year. These full-time faculty work alongside some 25 affiliate faculty and five professional staff, as well as a robust Community Music program.
