The Associate Quality Manager is charged with assisting the Quality Control Manager in carrying out duties and responsibilities to ensure acceptable product quality at each phase of the manufacturing process. The Associate Quality Manager ensures a timely and orderly distribution of quality cement to our valued customer base. Promotes safety practices and efforts throughout the plant. * Maintains close contact with all phases of plant operation and informs the appropriate personnel of situations detrimental to product quality and production. * Initiate, direct and participate in studies designed to optimize cement manufacturing. * Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and fuels. * Balances rates of additives used to maintain quality and minimize cost. * Performs method development for new laboratory analysis. * Provide leadership and training for quality and production members to meet Customer expectations, plant objectives, DOT, AASHTO and ASTM Standards. * Identify and record quality problems; initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels; and verify the implementation of solutions. * Maintain effective relations with customer services, sales and all plant departments. * Generate administrative paperwork associated with general laboratory and operations management. * Utilize statistical tools along with computer systems and automated analysis equipment to assist in process and product evaluation. * Initiate, participate in and direct audits as required. * Performing other duties as assigned #INDSS Educational Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or other related field with three (3) years' experience in a cement or other related industry OR an appropriate combination of education and experience. This role will report to the Manager, Corporate Quality - Pharmacy on the Clinical team.What You'll Do Support QC oversight for compounding operations. Assist with development, support implementation, and maintain SOPs, Forms, Work Instructions and other required controlled documents. Own the finished product retain program, ensuring a sample of each compounded lot is retained per SOP. Conduct reviews of cleaning logs, compounding records, and other controlled records created throughout the facility. Assist in root cause investigations and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Assist in the execution of training on quality topics, functioning as the on-site SME for quality. Provide Pharmacy Compliance with requests arising from pharmacy inspections. Ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of the facility and equipment, leading our environmental monitoring program. Conduct Quality Assurance checks on relevant product batches according to predefined guidelines, reviewing final test results to perform lot release. What You'll Bring to the Team Bachelor's degree in any science discipline, preferred. Current pharmacy technician license in Florida or the ability to obtain pharmacy technician licensure, preferred. At least 3 years experience working in a manufacturing production environment or a high volume compounding pharmacy required. Experience working in a cGMP or 503B facility where PPE, cleanliness, and sterile sampling techniques are part of daily routine, required. Experience identifying need for and assisting in the creation of SOPs and other controlled documents. Knowledge of environmental monitoring in cGMP environments. Experience with Good Documentation Practices, preferred. Experience training others, preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically and tactically. The target hourly rate for this position ranges from $30.43 to $36.78, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). Position Description Oversee the implementation of Thompson's Inspection and Test Plans (ITP'S) per the assigned site. Review materials to ASTM Requirements, which includes measuring of the components to ensure they are within the specification's tolerance. This includes working with employees as well as outside agencies or consultants involved in inspections and testing. Job Responsibilities * Generate documentation to provide assurance of compliance to contract requirements, ITP's and Thompson's QA Manual * Ensure all Quality Control records are maintained in an orderly, easily accessible, up to date and secure manner * Ensure policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for Quality Control are being followed for field work and are documented when required * Ensure that materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, and applicable building codes * Generate Non Conformance Report (NCR) for any condition that does not comply with the applicable requirements or specifications * Be knowledgeable of assigned inspection criteria * Require that defective work or material be corrected or removed until made compliant * Approve receipt of materials per ASTM requirements * Accept or reject welds based on assigned written criteria * Perform dimensional checks on materials in question * Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner * Effectively coach Craft in quality program processes * Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications * 5 years of work experience in the construction field * Able to navigate Code books and technical manuals * Proficient at understanding construction drawings * Have a general understanding of various structural bolting methods (turn of the nut, direct tension indicators, impact wrenches, etc.) * Visual Testing (VT)-VT Level lI or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) * Ability to use weld inspection tools * Ability to use coatings inspection tools * Ability to verify materials using Material Test Reports (MTR's) * Familiarity with construction workplace health and safety concepts * Attention to detail and completes documentation in timely manner * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively. * Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments * 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work * Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements Benefits * We strive to provide a competitive compensation and benefits package.
