RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and/or calibration of parts, tools, instruments or x‐ray film. Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
INSPECTION:
Perform inspection on complex parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment.
Adapt and develop complex inspection set‐ups to check sample parts, forgings and castings. Check tool and jig layouts.
Perform first article and envelope inspections, source inspections, and/or complex surface plate set‐ups. Interpret specifications, charts, manuals and other data to arrive at acceptance or rejection. Recommend changes to supervision. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimension and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards.
Layout all component part characteristics onto rough or semi‐machined castings, forgings and machine parts to maintain control of machining cycle during manufacturing.
CALIBRATION:
Perform calibration on complex multi‐function electronic measuring and test equipment.
Set‐up calibration test conditions having various circuit requirements interpreting calibration procedures, specifications, manufacturer's instructions, or related documents.
Ability to interpret drawings and electronic schematics.
Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals.
Diagnose and calibrate newly acquired complex electronic equipment.
NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST:
Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre‐inspection and post‐inspection cleaning.
Set‐up equipment and conduct tests.
Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures.
Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents.
Operate X‐ray equipment and film processor.
Select the method and technique to be used for a specific inspection. Prepare and verify the adequacy of inspection procedures.
Job Requirements:
Five years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications.
Required experience in CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of machine shop mathematics including trigonometry. Knowledge of electro‐hydraulic servo systems and the computer IEEE systems. Personal hand tools may be required.

HM183 Certified Diesel Mechanic Position Summary:
This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and understanding basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.
Essential Functions:

Key Responsibilities
80% of work: Mechanical Inspection of parts produced by Machine shop
Conducting Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspection to exacting tolerances, castings, forgings, machined parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies furnished by vendors or fabricated in-house.
Inspects machined parts for proper material, processes, completion of operations, workmanship and conformance to engineering approved sketches, drawings and specifications.
Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications and perform mathematical computations.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a gate clerk or in a similar role within the intermodal rail or logistic industry is preferred

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry software

Key Responsibilities:
Gate Operations:
- Greet and direct incoming and outgoing trucks, verifying necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with terminal rules and regulations.
- Accurately record and update truck and container information in the terminal's computer system.
- Issue gate passes, permits, and other required documentation to authorized personnel.
- Coordinate with security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the terminal premises.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Collect and review shipping documents, such as bills of lading, delivery orders, and customs paperwork, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Enter data from shipping documents into the terminal's computer system accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of truck and container movements, permits, and other relevant documentation.
- Generate reports on gate activities, truck turn times, and any other requested metrics.
Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers, customers, and other terminal personnel to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
- Coordinate with yard personnel to ensure the availability and proper placement of containers for loading and unloading.
- Collaborate with customer service representatives to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely updates.
- Assist in coordinating with external stakeholders, including rail carriers, trucking companies, and regulatory authorities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the gate area, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Monitor and report any security concerns, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to intermodal rail terminal operations.
- Assist in conducting safety and security training for terminal staff and contractors, as required.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to truck drivers, ensuring a positive experience during their interactions with the terminal.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers in locating containers and providing necessary information or assistance.

As a Lead Inspector, you will oversee the inspection, release and certification of products processed within production areas of the business unit. Responsible for the certification of products and for aligning the inspection group to meet internal and external customer targets. A portion of assigned working hours, will continue to perform hands-on technical work based on existing qualifications attained as a Technician.
What you'll do:
Assists Operations Managers with production flow, and planning.

Position Summary:
The Audit and Inspections Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and readiness of reconditioned Genie equipment. Reporting to the Quality Management System (QMS) Lead, this position is responsible for leading the audit and inspection processes throughout the reconditioning lifecycle-from inbound core inspections through final quality checks before shipment. This role develops inspection protocols, leads root cause investigations, supports operator training, and champions quality standards aligned with Genie and Genie Recon expectations.
What You Will Do:
Lead Quality Inspections:
Conduct and oversee incoming, in-process and final inspections of reconditioned Genie equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, components, etc.) across key production areas: Core Receiving, Disassembly, Wash, Blast, Paint, Sub Assembly, and Final Assembly.
Audit Processes for Compliance:
Execute layered process audits (LPAs), workstation audits, and documentation reviews to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and quality protocols.
Inbound Core Evaluation:
Partner with receiving and technical teams to inspect inbound core units for damage, missing components, and suitability for reconditioning. Support disposition decisions with documentation and photos.
Corrective Actions & Root Cause:
Lead containment, investigation, and corrective actions when defects are discovered. Drive root cause analysis and track effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up audits.
Inspection Documentation:
Maintain accurate inspection records, audit logs, and non-conformance reports. Provide visibility into quality trends and recurring issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with team leads, production staff, engineering, and supply chain to ensure continuous improvement and readiness of each unit for customer delivery.
Support Operator Training:
Identify training gaps related to quality and inspection processes. Assist in reinforcing best practices through on-the-floor coaching.
Escalation & Reporting:
Escalate critical issues to the QMS Lead and Production Manager. Contribute to weekly quality reports, board-level metrics, and huddle discussions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
High school diploma or GED; associate or technical degree preferred
3+ years of experience in inspection, quality control, or audit roles in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) or related equipment strongly preferred
Knowledge of inspection tools, quality standards, and non-conformance tracking systems
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation discipline
Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, and technical drawings
Experience with QMS and continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or quality tracking software
