Must possess verbal and written skills to communicate effectively and courteously with a diverse group of professional and non-professional members of the health care team, patients and family/significant others. Qualifications:High School Diploma Required and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field or equivalent experience is preferred. At least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting is preferred. C. P. I. Certification provided during orientation program. BLS certification required. (Specialized training needed) - Applies splints, slings, immobilizers, and ice wraps/Polar Cubes, as needed. (specialized training) - Utilizes sterile technique in assisting MD with special procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, nerve blocks; including set up/clean up. Ensures necessary supplies are available/stocked. - Provides training and fitting for orthopedic devices, including crutches and walkers.
