The Remote Security Officer provides services for a variety of large and small business clients in remote settings where health, safety and security is our #1 priority. All duties are to be performed in accordance with NMS' mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities * Personally monitors and patrols either visually or electronically a variety of assigned buildings, areas, or grounds. * Permits only properly authorized individuals to enter the property. * Patrols premises and examines doors, windows, and gates to determine they are secure. * Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc. * Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators. * Notifies on-site individuals of visitors wishing to see them. * Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property. * Operates camp billeting and access control systems and maintains a list of visitors or authorized companies/personnel who are allowed access to various areas. * May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational. * Provides transportation services using a variety of vehicles ranging from standard passenger vehicles to large passenger buses and off-road vehicles. * Provides emergency medical intervention including CPR, AED, and patient movement. * Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications * High school diploma or GED equivalent. * Must have at least one (1) year of full-time professional security, law enforcement or military experience. * Post-secondary education in a related field may be substituted for experience. * A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy. * Must be able to obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97.00 prior to beginning work. * Must have basic computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft office and contract specific software. * Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: hair follicle drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test. Full-time Description Summary Job Goal: The Environmental & Natural Resources Attorney will serve as in-house legal counsel focused on environmental litigation, policy development, research, and advocacy related to the protection, restoration, and sustainable management of salmon populations in the Arctic, Yukon, and Kuskokwim (AYK) river systems, and the Bering Sea. This attorney will represent the corporation's interests in environmental proceedings, support regulatory engagement, and advance initiatives that protect subsistence rights, Tribal sovereignty, and the cultural and economic well-being of Alaska Native communities. Performance Responsibilities: Include the following - Legal Advocacy & Litigation Represent AVCP in administrative, state, federal, or tribal litigation and regulatory proceedings related to environmental and fisheries matters, particularly involving AYK salmon. Coordinate legal strategy and filings in cases involving habitat degradation, water quality, bycatch, commercial overharvesting, and climate-related impacts on salmon populations. Support tribal, inter-tribal, and co-management legal efforts and partnerships. Work alongside AVCP's General Counsel and with outside counsel in these areas specific to the AYK and Bering Sea Salmon Advocacy. Environmental & Regulatory Policy Monitor, analyze, and advocate in areas of environmental and fisheries policy and regulations at the federal (e.g., NOAA, NMFS, EPA), state (ADF&G), and local levels. Draft formal comments on proposed rules, environmental impact statements, and fisheries management decisions that affect AYK salmon and tribal interests. Provide legal guidance on enforcement, treaty protections, and environmental compliance. Research & Education Conduct and synthesize legal and scientific research to support litigation and policy advocacy on salmon issues. Prepare position papers, legal memos, and briefings for leadership, tribal partners, and public audiences. Support educational initiatives and community outreach to build awareness and inform policy development. Coalition & Tribal Engagement Collaborate with regional tribal governments, Native organizations, co-management bodies, and nonprofit allies to coordinate advocacy strategies, including direct collaboration with the Northern Bering Sea Climate Resilience Area Tribal Advisory Council. Represent AVCP in regional, state, and national coalitions focused on salmon conservation, tribal sovereignty, and environmental justice. The Remote Camp Maintenance Lead Technician assists the Camp Maintenance Superintendent in on-site supervisory services for the repair, maintenance and alterations of light industrial oil field support facilities and equipment. Specific duties include: + Reviewing user stories and requirements and providing feedback related to testability and effort estimate from a quality assurance perspective. + Building and maintaining automation framework and test cases and continuing to increasing test coverage for existing and new products. + Running automation test runs and manual test runs - identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs found internally and reported externally to the organization. + Designing and building test plans and strategies, proposing new tools, to ensure continuity of release quality and ensuring proper test coverage of product functionality based on risk, importance, and criticality of product features from a customer point of view. + Ensuring that automation framework allows applications to meet systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. + Preparing and delivering reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas. + Collaborating with software and systems research and development in application testing including applying system, unit, load, and acceptance testing methods. + Making recommendations to team members and product owners for quality improvement of software applications. + Preparing and managing release notes, as well as validating the quality of release content. + Tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts, as required by Senior Quality Assurance Engineers or Architects. + Learning and adapting quickly, developing/coding using deployment tools and support deployment automation and environments. Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Software QA Test Engineer. Must also have 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement) working with the following: + Robot Framework automation, GitHub and Selenium Web Driver; + Performing backend and data driven testing using SQL queries on Oracle RDBMS; + Jira implementation for User stories tracking, Bug filing and tracking; + User Acceptance testing and Functional testing performed on the application under test; + Performing Security Testing to ensure that users' security was maintained throughout the application.
