The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I performs low -complexity preventative maintenance and repairs for manual to semi-automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual works closely with a team of Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians and will escalate more complex issues to senior team members.
Shift Schedule: Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00pm to 6:
Primary Duties:
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics' Quality System.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Perform low-complexity repairs involving manual to semi-automated manufacturing and/or packaging equipment. Perform basic routine preventative and scheduled maintenance on manual to semi-automated production equipment, which may include the replacement of failed/broken components (i.e. bearing, belts, motors, etc.), cleaning and lubricating parts, etc.
Provide emergency support to repair production equipment in order to keep production lines operational at all times.
Dismantle defective and/or outdated equipment.
Build and install new/repaired parts or equipment according to blueprints, specifications, WIDs, and SOPs.
Performs some simple automation tasks as they relate to hardware.
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics Quality System.
Training and Education:
High School diploma and equivalent; Associate degree in a scientific/technical discipline is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in a directly related field/role. Previous experience in a fast-paced cGMP environment is strongly preferred. Previous hands on maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrate ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues/equipment
Ability to perform hands on repairs using a variety of hand tools
Must be able to interpret and follow blueprints, WIDs, etc.
Must possess well-developed interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively and take direction from other team members
Effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of the manufacturing organization and to carry out required documentation activities
Demonstrated sense of urgency when carrying out critical tasks

Essential Functions
Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of radiographic equipment to make special study radiographs of designated body portions in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
Position patients; immobilize as necessary.
Assist radiologist during angiographic and interventional procedures.
Operate fluoroscopic equipment. Position patients for rapid sequence filming during contrast media administration.
Set up sterile trays and other equipment practicing sterile technique.
Assist radiologist during procedure to include handling of instruments, operating and monitoring equipment, calling out equipment readings; alerting physician to changes in patient condition.
Scrub to assist with passage of catheters/guidewires.
Load power injectors with contrast media; prepare for injection.
Maintain studies within the Image archival system.
Schedule patient procedures from referring physician's offices.
Charge patients for procedures and supplies in EHR.
Assist in orientation of new technologists; provide education and training to student technologists. Maintain patient records and statistical data. Coordinate scheduling and patient flow within the neuro/vascular radiographic suites; coordinate procedure performance across different hospital divisions (anesthesia, pediatrics, radiology). What you'll do as a Repair Technician
Performs basic to intermediate level repairs of surgical instruments and maintenance including ultra sonic function, metallurgy, buff and polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations, and brazing.
Demonstrates quality performance in intermediate skilled work including advance Dremel operation, Re-cup and Re-jaw, laparoscopic inspection.
Provides invoicing and documentation based on business need.
While primarily working inside a mobile repair truck, frequent trips inside the hospital are required.
Provide support various locations within assigned territory depending on the service agreements, Customer needs, and staffing levels.
Abides by all Company safety, health policies, and procedures. Uses personal protective equipment, as required. Completes Safety observations per site requirements.
Adheres and complies with all protocols (DOT, company and Customer) for the safe operation of the mobile lab including policies and procedures relative to the position.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience, or 1 year of experience at STERIS. All experience must be verifiable.
Related certifications in technical or mechanical area, competitive equipment training or related military experience may be considered towards experience requirement.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150 pounds at times.
Must be able to meet flexible schedules with early/late hours and sometimes outside normal business hours including nights and weekends, based on Customer and business needs.
Must be a minimum of 21 years old with ability to achieve and maintain FMCSA and drivers license requirements.
Must be able to pass a DOT medical/ physical exam, comply with all DOT regulations and conduct basic box truck safety checks.

Job Description

Lead Responsibilities:
Accepts responsibility to a limited area, shift or tasks assigned.
Continuously checks assigned areas to be sure work is being done properly and that personnel are following assigned work schedules. (When Supervisor not present).
Reports any pertinent information to the Supervisor as it occurs.
Instills a service-minded approach to all task performed by Environmental Services staff by demonstrating a personal enthusiasm and team spirit.
Motivates staff by communicating areas done well and areas requiring improvement.
Assists with training of Environmental Service personal as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Assures staff are inspecting equipment for proper operation daily and reporting equipment in need of repair.
Maintains good public relations with all patients, facility and staff personnel. Answer day to day questions as they arise and pertain to general housekeeping.
If working the PM Shift, leaves notes in operation log for Supervisor to review ie, project work completed, work not completed or any unusual occurrences for the evening.
Laundry/ Linen:
Demonstrates proper infection control procedures when collecting soiled linen.
Maintains an adequate amount of sanitized linen in the linen room ad closets on patient units. Delivers under-pads and laundry bags to the floors as required.
Communicates with Superior laundry staff to adjust par levels as required.
Washes hospital owned dust mops.
Housekeeping/Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of carpet shampoo extractor, rotating shampooer, auto floor scrubber, wet/dry machine.
Operation of equipment as well as procedures involved in using them.
Infection control practices with regards to cleaning patient's rooms and hospital. Project management as it relates to floor care.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED or a minimum of 5 years work experience in a hospital in lieu of the diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years of EVS experience or working within a lead role with in a healthcare setting

This position will serve as a member of the Health, Safety & Environmental team with emphasis on General Industry Occupational health and Safety. This position will report to the HSE Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include promoting and implementing all HSE objectives including HSE programs, policies, and procedures with primary emphasis on occupational health and safety. HSE Tech II will work to establish the desired safety culture of occupational incident/injury prevention.
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must have a passion for and demonstrated commitment for workplace injury prevention and be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The incumbent will have general knowledge of OSHA regulations, standard safety procedures, and best safe work practices. General knowledge of behavioral-based safety programs is a plus. Timely completion and follow-up of assigned tasks and accurate collection and tracking of required data is essential.
Primary Duties
Under general supervision of the HSE Supervisor, the HSE Technician II will:
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bio Merieux Quality System.
Implement and monitor the facilities health & safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Collect and analyze safety incident and injury statistics in a spreadsheet format and report results to safety committee and other stakeholders.
Assist with monitoring environmental practices and permitting to ensure compliance.
Perform job safety analysis (JSA's) and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct safety training including:
new employee safety orientation
Specific occupational health and safety topic training to individuals and groups
Compile statistics and reports relevant to safety training.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, safety showers/eye wash, first aid kits and AED's.
Assist with site Safety Committee activities and Building Emergency Response Teams (B.E.R.T) as needed.
Assist with maintaining the company wide, web based chemical inventory list and Safety Data Sheet
