What You'll Do
As a Speech Language Pathologist you will help develop, provide and evaluate Speech Language therapies based on individual treatments. In addition to direct therapy, you will conduct formal standardized evaluations, conduct observational assessments, train staff in wraparound strategies, conduct observations and skill assessments in the residential units, mentor, and coach direct care staff, attend and participate in CSE and residential planning meetings, support family skill development for carryover and develop treatment plans with commensurate goals for each individual.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Developing a comprehensive service plan according to program policies and regulations, including school, outpatient, etc.

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provides occupational therapy-based services to assigned caseload consistent with students' documented therapy goals, including those defined in areas of instructional and therapeutic focus and/or Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Provides assessment, mandate recommendations, and intervention in related school-based areas of occupation (participation in academics, play/leisure, vocational, and self-care skills) and appropriately documents or updates annual therapy goals for students, as needed.

Fabricates, maintains, modifies and monitors use of adaptive equipment and orthotics and trains school staff regarding interventions involving AT or other equipment.
Assists with assessments related to assistive technology (AT) and/or durable medical equipment (DME) needs, including participation in clinics, documenting medical necessity, obtaining measurements, working with providers, facilitating orders, coordinating with vendors for delivery, fittings, etc. as needed.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
