Responsible for internal communication with our land development team, preconstruction team, and project executives Create 3D digital models for project design development Identify project requirements to ensure accurate functionality of drawings Have a basic understanding of project construction costs to develop designs that stay within the client's budget Responsible for organizing and facilitating project design presentation meetings and ensuring stakeholders are informed of design progress Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions for renovation projects Oversee and provide direction to project architects during construction document production phase. Responsible for addressing Requests for Information (RFIs) from Project Managers during construction Collaborate with external consultants including site/civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing Specify the materials utilized within the building, including, doors, lighting, and other components Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential flaws prior to the design phase Develop designs, present and promote them effectively, and prioritize the client's best interests throughout the process Conduct Quality Control/Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with life safety standards and assess constructability Must have strong understanding of building codes and the ability to research and implement zoning requirements as related to specific project types May perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university Architectural License or in process of obtaining Minimum of 5 years of architect experience, along with knowledge of the construction industry Occasional travel to job sites Above average computer skills Expertise in SketchUp, AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Enscape is preferred but not required. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally on a one-to-one basis and in front of groups Knowledge of building codes Ability to read, interpret, and review design drawings Ability to solve problems with diplomacy and to think and work independently and within a team Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
