Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Licensed Architect in California. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Use discretion and judgment in the intellectual field of architecture to accomplish the following: * Create, develop and design all Perry Homes products. * Develop and create preliminary floor plans and elevation designs; * Thoroughly analyze preliminary designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall design efficiency and make recommendations to management based on review; * Coordinate design implementation and accuracy by working with CAD producers. * Work with Production Manager to oversee flow of plans through department. * Field reviews of Perry Homes products as well as competition. * Remain up-to-date on market demands for plans and customer requests for all major Texas metropolitan areas. * Obtain continuing education program hours approved by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners to maintain license. * Frequently must complete projects on a very short notice with extreme time constraints. * Perform other tasks as assigned by Senior Vice President of Design, as requested.
