JOB SUMMARY Responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment of various sizes and weights for mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week such as bulldozers and excavators in support of active mining operations. This earth moving position will work collaboratively with a team of 8 to 10 operators, under the direction of the Production Shift Supervisor, focused on the safe and efficient delivery of raw ore to mine processing facilities and management of sand tails. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Daily activities Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures. Safely and efficiently operates various pieces of mobile heavy equipment including bulldozers and tracked excavators. Identify and promote opportunities to improve mine safety performance, act as a safety leader. Safely drive and maneuvers equipment into position for digging, loading, hauling, dumping, pushing, and/or spreading material in designated work areas. Receive and execute written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation. Ensure operation of equipment is within machine capabilities and limitations.
