    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Mustbe at least 18 years of age at time of hire. * Musthold unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. * Oneyear of nursing experience, strongly preferred. * Mustbe CPR certified, or able to complete training. * Mustbe able to complete full orientation at time of hire. * Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to liftand carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts onoccasion. CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assess resident complaints and determine action, notifying supervisor when necessary. * Admit and transfer residents to and from other units or outside sources. * Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law. * Observe for side effects or adverse effects to medication and report to assigned supervisor, or further assessment and treatment. * Prepare paperwork as required for consults within facility and outside appointments. * Coordinate residents' appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as need for resident movement to and from the unit. * Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law and notifying supervisor for further assistance. * Completeincident reports factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frameas defined by the facility. * Completeprogress notes on resident care within the appropriate time frame as defined bythe facility. * Advocate for residents' recovery and safety. * Maintain appropriate and professional behavior during interactions with residents', supervisors, and other staff members. * Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate time sheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy.
