Under general supervision, the Machine Operator fulfills several different operator roles. Position placement is determined based on the needs of the business. These roles include:
QC Strip Inspector: responsible for monitoring the condition of finished painted product before it reaches the exit end of the paint line.
Wet Section Operator: responsible for operating the wet section equipment in accordance with wet section operating parameters.
Emboss Line Operator: responsible for processing quality hold coils to resolve potential defects issues and using the emboss cassette to emboss finished goods coils. This includes preparing finished goods coils for packaging, operating an overhead crane, driving a forklift, entering coil data into Oracle and producing coil identification tags.
Coater Assistant: responsible for supporting the Finish Coater operators in efficiently and safely operating the coating equipment and maintaining the finish coater rooms.
Prime Coater Operator: responsible for the safe operation of the dual head Prime Coater machine.
Entry End Operator: responsible for operating the entry end equipment where raw material is fed into the line.
Exit End Operator. Responsible for operating exit end equipment where finished product is recoiled prior to being packaged.
Finish Coater A Operator: responsible for the safe operation of the single head roll coater in the Finish A room.
Finish Coater B Operator: responsible for the safe operation of the dual head roll coater in the Finish B room.
Quality Control Technician: responsible for ensuring that painted finished goods are manufactured to the required technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
One year of Manufacturing Experience
Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
Ability to pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment
Preferred:
6+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment
Skills & Competencies:
Basic computer skills
Time Management - prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands
Detail Oriented - ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Heavy Handling Technician (Contract) to join our Ground Support Team based in Mobile, AL.
Responsible for the safe off-loading of Major Components Assemblies (MCA) from sea and road transport jigs onto Final Assembly Line (FAL) transportation trolleys and the delivery of MCAs to the Final Assembly Line stations in accordance with the planning schedule. Your challenges:
● Overhead crane operations in the Transhipment hangar, A320 Final Assembly Line, Final Phase hangars, and A220 FAL to receive and deliver the major aircraft components utilizing a variety of overhead crane configurations and lifting devices.
● Operating heavy aircraft tow tugs for the movement of aircraft into and out of various hangars in support of pre-Final Operational Testing.
● Ensuring aircraft system readiness and proper configuration of aircraft towing operations, cargo loading, aircraft mooring, electrical power connections, ventilation for air supply, and cabin access all in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). MAA AOA training.
● Coordinating logistical support for cannibalization, reallocation, out of sequence requests of aircraft materials, and the return of sea transport jigs.
● Operation of heavy equipment to load/ unload shipping containers of MCAs using 30 k forklift.
● Operation of heavy equipment to support unloading of MCAs from sea jigs at heights of 20-30 feet using articulating man lift or scissor lifts.
● Fueling activities for ground support equipment (GSE). Using portable fuel tanks.
● Adherence to various policies regarding accurate recording of completed work and work-in-progress by using daily job cards to record activities.
● Notifies affected parties when clerical errors are discovered or documentation is incomplete.
● Using SOIs to perform each task assigned and documenting any discrepancies.
● Maintains accurate and up-to-date training records of EHS, SAP.
● Ensure required daily pre-operational inspections of GSE are completed.

Some machinery may have multiple functions. Tools may include basic hand tools, scan gun and measuring devices.
Physical Demands

The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets.

Operate the computer controls of each cell to select the proper program for the paint color being sanded.

Identify and communicate issues quickly to the GrayMatter Team using the Hot Line and the Team Viewer communication tool.
