Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Have the ability to comprehend and utilize blueprints, sketches, drawings, technical
manuals, and work process instruction.
Welds steel plates and pipe in the repair and/or construction of marine vessels, industrial components, and associated equipment.
Have the skills to use various types of welding equipment for different types of metal.
Welds components in a flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
Welds metal parts together using gas welding, brazing, arc welding, wire fed welding, or tig welding process and procedures.
Highly skilled welders often are trained to work with a wide variety of materials, such as titanium, aluminum, or exotic metals, in addition to steel.
Select and set up welding equipment, execute the planned welds, and examine the welds to ensure that they meet standards or specifications.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma, some college or technical school certification, six months to one year(s) experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, etc.
Must be able to stand and operate equipment up to four continuos hours.
Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE.
Some climbing (100 feet or higher) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.
Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials.
Work on inland and offshore barges or in industrial settings.
Enter round manholes with inside diameters of 18”, and other internally confined spaces.
Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.

We are a company providing process piping and millwright services to the heavy industrial, commercial and manufacturing industries. We are growing to meet the demands of our customers requiring qualified maintenance and installation technicians through out the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. We have the need to expand our workforce across several levels from apprentice to experienced piping foreman.
Positions Open:
Mechanic / Piping Technician Trainee ($20-$22 to start dependent on experience):
Have some construction site experience, desire to learn a trade, coming out of a trade school. On the job training available to candidates with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Fitter or Welder ($25-$30 tp start dependent on experience)
Expected to have experience in the fitting and welding of utility or process piping. You would be part of a team installing piping systems in a variety of industrial applications, chemical, utility and process. Typical tasks include: Welding SMAW & GTAW, fabrication of pipe spools from isometric drawings, stainless and carbon tube / pipe, installing supports, some rigging.
Project Leadsmen / Foreman ($30-$35 to start dependent on experience)
At least 3 years of experience required as a working foreman installing equipment and piping systems. We have the need to expand our workforce across several levels from apprentice to experienced piping foreman.
Positions Open:
Mechanic / Piping Technician Trainee ($20-$22 to start dependent on experience):
Have some construction site experience, desire to learn a trade, coming out of a trade school. On the job training available to candidates with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Fitter or Welder ($25-$30 tp start dependent on experience)
Expected to have experience in the fitting and welding of utility or process piping. You would be part of a team installing piping systems in a variety of industrial applications, chemical, utility and process. Typical tasks include: Welding SMAW & GTAW, fabrication of pipe spools from isometric drawings, stainless and carbon tube / pipe, installing supports, some rigging.
Project Leadsmen / Foreman ($30-$35 to start dependent on experience)
At least 3 years of experience required as a working foreman installing equipment and piping systems. Position Summary :
Experience MIG and TIG Welding Stainless Steel, Aluminum and other metals to deliver a quality weld that is also aesthetically pleasing.
Ability to “Walk the Cup” and be familiar with using hard automation such as plasma weld-around.
Fabricate and assemble components and parts - Measure, cut, grind and shape components using varies tools.
Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, layouts, and other types of work orders/instructions.
Ability to follow Quality assurance procedures and processes.
Meet and maintain quality and performance expectations, including productivity, efficiency, and time management, all while maintaining a high-level attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
Other duties may be assigned to accommodate the needs of the company and/or shop.
